Yes montreal! and yes Mazda 3 over corolla and civic! :P How good really is the gas mileage? I know two guys at worked who used a Mazda 3 but not the new ones, and they didn't like the mileage. Also, would the system work with certain android phones? Or only blackberries and iphones?

That car starts at $26,000 plus options and taxes. What I can't stand is the bean counting they did on the dash , what the hell happen to the temp gauge ??? That dash must be from a ford festa . Come on Mazda could do better than that. I wouldn't buy that car until serious changes are done. 2013 will that be better.

@Jorce As long as you keep up with regular maintenance you shouldn't have major issues. Mazda's can be just as reliable as toyota and hondas if you take care of them. I have 2 coworkers who have mazda's from nearly 20 years ago still going strong. This car can last you at least 10 years if not longer.

@Plucky2035 I would buy this car if I needed a compact station wagon. Currently the only other station wagon I would compare with is are Toyota Matrix, Subaru Impreza or Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback.

I would probably select them in the following order: 1. Impreza 2. Matrix 3. Lancer 4. Mazda3. The 3 is probably a nice car, but I really can't stand the hideous front end. A black one isn't that bad.

But instead of a compact station wagon, I'd probably get a CUV like CRV or RAV4.

Like I said, everything else BUT the front end and tail lights on this car is fine. IMO the front is hideous and the ricer tail lights are ugly. Otherwise it's power train, handling and interior looks great.

Yesterday i went to my nearest Mazda dealer and he showed me the BT audio system from the Mazda 3 MPS and i was so amazed. As i can see from your vid the music does not start to play unless you press the play button in the car.

Is there an option for some kind of autoplay as soon as the phone is in reach ?

Beautiful interior, that's for sure! I noticed your km was at 294 at less than a 1/4 tank. Is that typical? I'm just comparing because I considered this model. I have the GS in manual transmission and it will typically be at about 450-550 km at that point.

I have to agree..keyless start,handling,ride,styling are the best features. The gas mileage is very poor..but my redial on my bluetooth works just fine. I love the bluetooth feature on the car. I think you will find more auto makers will be installing this feature on their cars. I will agree the carpeting is poor quality and heaven for bid if you drop anything under your seat that has the heated option you will not find it...it will be lost...lol

The hump in front of the front seats can be in the way of your feet.

The fuel consumption estimator display is a useless gimmick since it never reads out a useful number. It can fluctuate between 89 mpg to 10 mpg without changing speed or road grade. I am not sure what is the purpose of that.

The redial function on the bluetooth does not work.

I did contact mazda and was told that an engine over heat light will illuminate if the case comes....Kind of a downer again as if the light comes on it may be already too late lol!

i have the 2010 sport 5 door... same interior same stuff minus the push start and leather seats and navi... and trust me... it's small. save the money and just get the sport moonroof/bose 6 disk 10 speaker centerpoint package if you want something better then the i models (blah models).

Ballin. I love all the lights. I test drove one and thought the auto gearbox was a bit too "MGP!MPG!" for me. Didn't downshift till you put your foot in pretty far. Good torque for the engine size though. But what else can you expect from the zoom zoom company?

@Dulas9600 There is no temperature gauge. Instead, there are two temperature lights, blue and red. If the engine is still cold, the blue light is on, and if the engine starts to overheat, the red light its turning on.

you get the most expensive package there is on the mazda 3 i think its the i grandtour or something but it comes with sat nav with the bose and the keyless entree/button start, bluetooth, led headlights and i think taillights too. Its about 23k so about 25-26 with the tax so very good price for the interior looks, def think about this car for your next car.

If anyone is thinking about the Mazda 3, make sure you check out the manual. I test drove the 2008.5 in automatic and manual back when I was buying my car, and the manual is just way better!! You can't feel much power in the automatic and it's jut not as fun to drive as manual. If you don't know how to drive stick, the Mazda is a very easy car to learn on.
