You are talking about 1 woman. Maybe she is happy & good for her. I would not be happy because God has given us a mind & the ability to create something more for us & for those around us. I would not be happy being unable to make a difference in others lives by blessing them with what I have been blessed with. I know lack, & it's no fun! It's much better to have more than enough! God made us in His image to create abundance & demonstrate His greatness through trust in Him.
Good for the lady from Germany. However, it is SELFISH think it's okay to have only enough for ourselves. God's Kingdom is bigger than YOU, ME or HER. I think it's a shame to be so self-centered. I have always used my home as a place to give hospitality to those in need. The bigger the better! I always have others in view. It is no virtue to go homeless my friend. It helps NO ONE, but gives a self-serving sense of humility which is a cloak for the worse kind of pride.

There is a lady from germany who is intentionally homeless and she says that she feels much happier not having the burden of things. I have hot running water, I have food, I have my health and a curious mind and two beautiful children. It's helpful to recognize that I already have abundance. That's not a poverty mentality. It's healthy to recognize why you want more. Is it to raise your self esteem? To feel successful? Is it filling in for a deeper need. Covering a feeling of inadaquecy.
If "things" will not bring happiness then why did God promise Israel a land flowing with milk and honey. A land rich in iron, gold, copper and such. Why is abundance & health part of the blessings Abraham received. It is foolish to believe that things don't mean anything. It takes money to be effective in the earth realm. It's a shame that so many Christians have a poverty mentality! Ask a homeless person if a house would make he or she happier!
@MichaelPuskas Effective at what? I agree that it's foolish to believe that things don't mean anything bit it's also foolish to believe that we don't give them their meaning. You have linked being homeless to being unhappy. Why? Heidemarie Schwermer is homeless and very contented. Ask anyone if they would be happier with no money worries and they will most probably say yes, but research doesn't bear this out.
We look for happiness in things. We think that if we have a bigger house we will be happier, we think that if we have more money we will be happier but it doesnt work. So why spend all that energy visualizing a bigger house when it wont make you happier?
Oscar Romero was a catholic priest who started to preach against the treatment of the peasants by the sandanista government. Thousands listened to his sermons, he was assasinated for his beliefs. Jesus also challenged the beliefs of his time, he was killed. This guy has a nice car and holiday home.
@alan5863 I wonder if Oscar Romero would be so judgmental? Your attitude demonstrates why many turn from the gospel these days. I appreciate brothers who have died for the sake of Christ. I appreciate others who God has put in positions to suffer in such a way. I too love the Lord very much though I have never been called to suffer in such a way. However, my heart is to finance the gospel and that can't be done by being broke or having just enough for yourself. Be careful how your judge.
@MichaelPuskas :i think that god not really wants us to suffer so much.It can be that you have to do an investment or have to camp somewhere and leave your place(if you really follow your inner guidiance(maybe)but i am sure he will take care of you with just so much love, that you love him.it all depence what purpus he have for you.thanx and god bless
@13dutchdennis13 God does not want HIs children to suffer, would you? None of us would. He is good and has promised us His best. God wants His children to be a blessing...are river of blessing to others. To do that, we need provision. Why do I want more than enough? Because there are needs and only those with finances can meet those needs. I want to be a blessing to others...as I am sure you do. God bless you as well.
@MichaelPuskas that,s right..I have got my own bussiness(freelance)and got my own place etc,but 2 years ago i almost lost my place(things didn,t go very well)and i worried i think about 10 min.then i thought if god wants that i really want to loose it then it will be so.then i asked him by prayer and it happened that i only had to change my tactics.since then i am flourishing and can help other people too.keep praying what he wants for you,he always know what,s the best is for me..good video
@MichaelPuskas why do you think that havng more than you need will lead to less suffering. The things you have bring a momentary happiness, but then you have responsibility for all this stuff. It might get stolen, you might lose it, you might not be able to keep up the payments or there is a fire and its all gone. More insurance/?
A nice car and a holiday home are nothing compared to the teachings of Christ. He came here to teach us who we were: children of God. He was a man, like us. But unlike us, he realized his true potential. I believe that he taught us that we can have whatever makes us happy. If a car and a holiday home are all it takes, then that's great. Imagine everyone in the world learning they can have that and more, that's the true legacy of Christ, Buddha, and Krishna.
@BAMFUproductions but if what makes us happy causes pain to someone else. My sons Xbox, and the resources needed, come from the mines in sierra leonne which has caused civil war not too mention the terrible working conditions. My need to feel good by having things has seen this beautiful planet plundered for its resources. Also the buddha taught that clinging to things is what causes unhappiness. Which is why the children working on the rubbish tips in India are happier than our children.
I agree with you that money isn't everything, but we are in a sensory world for a reason. If somebody only cares about money, they will never be happy. The Buddha taught moderation, though, because working on rubbish tips isn't good either. Everyone has something they aspire towards; something their higher self wants them to have. When we go after our real desires, we improve the lives of others as well as our own. Since everything comes from our dreams, we have infinite abundance.
@BAMFUproductions The problem is what is our real desire? In some parts of the world the greatest desire is to have your teeth filled into points. Everything we desire comes from a social context. We do not create our own reality as we are dropped into a reality that already exists. You assume that working on rubbish tips isnt good. You assume that going after our real desires improves the lives of others. Both the result of social conditioning.
Thoughts and words do not create reality. The images held most frequently in our minds ~ our daydreams ~ cause the quantum field to manifest reality. It requires no faith or belief. Our collective reality is a good/bad chaos, because we're unaware of our power. Send your email address and I'll send you the uncopyrighted "Understanding Your Power" (how to control it). Make a movie from it or otherwise share it. We all need this info if we are to win the banksters' War on the Mind of Mankind.
God help anyone who can believe this rubbish. When we belch or break wind we set up a vibration. Do we not have to be careful to set up the right vibrations in this way if we are trying to attract success?
