I returned from a week long visit to Pwoje Espwa, and it should be a model for all of Haiti. Fr. Marc has done an excellent job here. Yes, this video is 4 years old, but the attitude and hope reflected here is still evident. I can't wait to go back for another week and help out where I can. In the aftermath of the earthquake, cholera and hurricane, the work here continues to grow, and our help is needed. Fr. Marc has the right idea.
my family has known fr. marc for years and he is a man of his word. what he does for the kids is true, it's real, and sincere. it's sad that there have been organizations that have taken personal advantage of help that others have given them, but that's not fr. marc, not theo's work.
Then I am sorry for my comment, seen so many organisations in haiti that use the projects in a way to receive money. Happy to hear that...thanks for your reply.
I have so much respect for what Fr.Marc is doing. If only all the people in Haiti had someone to care about them and help them to farm and have a trade. If all this earthquake aid would establish more safe places to live and flourish for all those in need - it would be a blessing in disguise.
I am so upset about how late the aid is in coming and think the aid should go to the religious groups that have been helping in Haiti for many years. They know what is needed.
In case it's not obvious with Youtube already, Theos Work/Free the Kids has no control over comments posted here and does not sponsor, accept or agree with statements made on this site. Thank you for understanding. -Nathan
Name me one black country that is run properly. Name me one black city in the U.S. that runs properly. Inherent to the black genome is greed, selfishness, and the constant desire for material things which inevitably leads to drug dealings, prostitution, kidnappings, etc. Not racist, just the truth.
wherever the negro man goes, he brings the african savannas with him.
this is evident in my country. we take african refugees from their war-ridden countries safe to our first-world country, and in thanks they proceed to commit 70% of the rapes in the country, despite being a much smaller minority. this is the great multiculturalism for you. now now, this is not racism, you jew-brainwashed people, it's reality, a fact.
or maybe our greedy society and people like you that refuse to moralistically evolve with the rest of the world is incapable of supporting any other cause but their own destruction of man and his freedom to gain control.since we first colonized we've denied resources that were abundant not just to Haiti ,but to the world at large. Not only that but we strip them of their resources as well.Maybe you should expand that narrow nugatory mindset and take into consideration- you are the problem.
shut the fuck up about evolving morally. you've been taught by the jewish media to love race-mixing all your life. you're typical ignorant person. haiti, south africa, africa as a whole are great examples of inferior races not capable running governments on their own. they're destructive parasites. what the previous poster said is 100% correct. we're not equal and will never be. just as a black man will run faster than men of other races, asian and caucasian beat the negroes in brain power.
i can't beleive i cry while i'm watching this. God bless you "project Hope". you see when a few people care, what impact it can make in many lifes. i wich the wolrd have more people like you guys
well..prayer helps to create open opportunities ...its whether or not we recognize those open opportunities and take them when the Lord gives us the ability and opportunity to do so through prayer.
you do not have to use this opportunity to pray and prepare for being that better example, for its your choice completely..not God or mine, but yours...
when we have a world where some people may not pray then its harder to see the benefits of prayer among a community striving to help one another.
seriously...you need to pray as much as i. may Lord Jesus almighty help you to do this.
I realize your comment is from a year ago but I TOTALLY agree. Those exact words just came out of my mouth a few days ago. Prayer will only make you feel better but it does nothing for anyone else. If you care, go and physically do something.
Would you say it is easier to "take care" of girls, that is why there are less on the street or does it have something to do with girls taking care of the families that adopt them (restavek)? While I agree about less girls on the street, sometimes being a street kid is not about geography. That being said, I have great respect for the work that Father Mark is doing. nathanbluetree, how did you come to post this video on youtube? Are you affiliated with Father Mark and Theo's work in Les Cayes?
Thank you ! Trust me, that my friend makes a big difference in Haiti... Why dont you add a link to your website ( If having one) people would love to help a good cause. Ayibobo pou ou frem mwen.
I believe there are actually fewer girls living as orphans in Haiti. Also, Theos Work began as a boys orphanage so it's slowly expanding facilities so girls can stay as well. You can imagine that requires separate living quarters at most ages. I do know there are plenty of girls at the schools, so they don't discriminate by any means. Check out freethekids dot org for more info!
In Haiti it is easier to find boys, they are on the streets and much more visible. Girls are more commonly adopted by relatives because they are easier to take care of than rambunctious boys.

There is over 300,000+ slave children and Haiti's government don't care and has nothing to help with, and Haiti was born from a slave country.
If Haiti wont help it's self, we throwing money at it will fail no matter how noble the cause.
How can we really help because this will continue on and on.
Thank goodness for the children this guy saves, maybe one day they will learn to help themselves.

I believe you have found the solution! Racemixing should eliminate the problem! I am sure you must agree.
justajoy2 3 years ago
yes, if you call intelligence the problem, you should racemix. but if you value it, don't.

Yes, pray, it will make everything go away and fix all the problems, just like it has done before...
oh the sarcasm...prayer is for the weak that aren't willing to get out there and do something.
GuateVEGAN 3 years ago
no. do not have doubt. i am not saying that...but it will certianly change your heart and make you able to change the world for the better.
prayer is preparation for being able to help all those in need. grace is substance that makes us able to do so...
those who DO pray will make their opportunities productive and will do what they can to be that good example.
those who do not pray cannot have that kind of help from the Lord especially if they do not trust.
evan711heaven 3 years ago
Yes, specially because the lord JC has helped oh so much these past 2000 years...
