Seems as thought the Honda likes attacking mud with less throttle and doesn't do so good with lots of RPM's .... what do you think? I just bought a 2001 Honda Rubicon and I came across your vid. It's a good vid showing different ways of attacking the mud and deeper water.
@negativeonhand ,Hey man. Yeah I am still on the teryx. We have not riden in a while. Lately the flood waters have been to bad. When we get to riding again, I am going to have to give someone else the camera so I can get in some of the videos. That is the downfall of being the video man. Thanks for keeping in touch. I hope to have some more vids soon. Have a Happy Memprial Day!
tivowillieb, thanks man. i try to keep it as clean as i can. i do have to edit to give what i think would be the best footage. i will also take out foul language ifi hear it. i have a 5 yr old that has been riding with me since he was 3. thanks again for checking out my vids. i hope to get more this year.
elsalamemelame, U R welcome my friend. you sound like me. i hate all the music. i like to hear what's going on and the atvs. Also u willl not hear foul language. got to keep it clean for the little ones.
Polaris did it likes it meant to de done. Whats the point of tearing up the track on a ATV and getting covered in mud. Simply not enough clearance. To many revs not enough brains. Stupid!!!! Buy a proper 4WD.
I was wondering, what would be a good brand for an ATV that is not really expensive, for example a Honda 90 is around $3,600 but an Arctic Cat 90 is about $2,600 (by the way I live in Canada). So a good brand for not too much really is what I want... Thanks in advance!!!
what kind of atv was the first one. seemed it had the most difficult time crossing mud hole. Perhaps its lacking differential lock. Idk. never had atv, never rode one either. but looks like fun.
@ripper2812 , well yeah, who wouldnt want a can-am outlander. But they are thought the roof expensive. The 550, 650 whatever it is cost around $9500. Can you imagine what the 850 costs. YIKES!
how do you like you 420 my dad just bought one and is not impressed about them they have no power in 4x4 my brother got rental quad cuz his 680 is in the shop with 26 zillas and had no power in 1st gear i was going to buy one but not after seeing that. my 1986 350 has more power than it
Everyone I know that has a 420 loves it. They r good & power is good. U can add a programmer & pipe & gain more power. The 680 I wouldnt have. I dont like the tranny at all. Its a piece when it comes to muddin. A lot of people add gear reductions which is rediculous. u spend big money on an atv then spend more to get it to go good. If honda would just add a high/low range. If i were going to buy something in the 680 range it would be a 650 Brute, can-am (pricey), 700 Arctic Cat, 700 Grizz.

you all should get a set of swamp witches they're the best tirees ive ever run i had em on my old recon a few years back there wasnt any mudholes around that could stop me everything else i had on it i always got stuck but not with those swamp witches also bear claws are a pretty good tire too i ran those briefly as well although they were on 8 inch wheels they still mounted up on my old recon and did pretty good
I have a buddy that runs swamp witches andhe loves them. I used to own a pair of Bear Claws. They are areally good tire. I wish they had a deeper lug and where tallr. They run short.
Hey guys i need a little bit of atv help from someone who knows a little about quads.. I am getting ready ti buy a honda foreman 450 and the electric shift is messed up so the guy i am buying it from put a suicide shifter on it.. It that hard to change back to the ES or actualy i would prefer a foot shifter... can someone tell me if that is hard to change?
Very easy to change as long as all he did was put a foot shifter on it, its no big deal. All electric shifts come with the foot shifter attachment incase the electric shift goes out. I have an electric shift rancher & the wire came out of the angle sensor in the back of the motor. Check the wire connection 1st. I just had to replace the angle sensor a few months ago. It cost me about $68. Back in early 2000 Honda had a recall on some of the electric shifts. The shift plate was causing problems.
Okay. Thank you very much. Ya he just put a suicide shifter on it and he said he didnt mess with any of the wires or anything like that. Thanks for the help!
If you look at all my videos, youll see different terrains. Lots of trails, muddy open areas, deep water, ruts, etc. We do ride slower because we dont like to fly around the woods & trails, thats how people can get hurt when you have a lot of riders. We like to take it easy & play in all the holes. Whats embarrassing about that? Sometimes we have to make our own trails. Sometimes the challenge is just figuring out how to get to the other side of a mass of deep mud, water and rutted out trails.
agreed.....dont listen to that ol boy. my crew is the same way yours is. we take alot of beer breaks haha. but we hit every hole out there and play for a little while in the good ones! keep riding mudpimp and keep the videos coming!

you all should get a set of swamp witches they're the best tirees ive ever run i had em on my old recon a few years back there wasnt any mudholes around that could stop me everything else i had on it i always got stuck but not with those swamp witches also bear claws are a pretty good tire too i ran those briefly as well although they were on 8 inch wheels they still mounted up on my old recon and did pretty good

It's like you don't have fields or something. no danger, one at a time, and slow? Thats embarrassing.
