@chriss2401 Love the Magnum. Owned mine since 93ish and never had to do much to it, and it's my only electric. They are notoriously difficult to set up correctly though, so you really need to play the exact one you are buying first. I played around four when buying mine and this one really stood out from the pack. That said, a good luthier should be able to set one up right if it needs tweaking. As with all guitars they have their own quirks, but I've learned to love all of 'em! Cheers!
One of the most tasteful and purposeful solo bass compositions I've seen in quite a while. Very inspirational.
Mad respect!

Funny, as I think Tool's first bassist used the same exact bass.

@pointmoot Where do I get 1 of those? I've been looking 4 1, but I can't find any.
LORDAKIRA2019 4 months ago
@LORDAKIRA2019 They stopped making them decades ago. Try ebay or hunting around your local used music gear dealers.
pointmoot 4 months ago
@pointmoot Oh ok. How much r they usually? They don't go 4 INSANE prices like 5 digits, do they?
LORDAKIRA2019 4 months ago
Ever thought about writing and/or tabbing this out for other people to play? Also your tone is amazing.
rws10923 1 year ago
@rws10923 Cheers! No tabs, and to be honest I'm unlikely to write it out, but I do have a sheet music version around somewhere.

reminds me of tool a bit. I guess that fits with their crimson influences.

LOOK LIKE YOUR ACTION ABOUT 1/4 INCH HIGH ......DUDE
241TOPPER 1 year ago
@241TOPPER it is an illusion, the camera is at a steep angle and it is picking up the top of the vibration of the string making it look high.

the action seems really high.

Not that high really. Probably the camera angle.

what is that awesome bass?

Ovation Magnum 1 stereo bass circa 1978.
Yes, the roundback acoustic people made electric basses very briefly.
