this song was meant to be upbeat. this version, not so much. actually, it really sucks. i would have gotten up and left or at least thrown a water bottle on stage.

but listen to the words.
it's clearly a song about something sad. so he used his covering-creative abilities to turn it into what HE thought the song should be.
covers are boring when the artist doesn't do something different to it.
and, the sound quality on this is terrible. i have a recording of it and it's much better.
