Actually the term antichrist is not found in Revelation. "Antichrists" plural is in 1 John. We know that John in Rev was writing to a 1st century audience about 1st century events because he said the events are near! Why warn the 7 churches if the events are 2,000 or more years away?

The bible made us to understand that Israel fled into the mountains for 42 months (being chased by the Antichrist led beast) before the latter turned back. Was there any historical evidence that Nero chased the people of Israel into the mountains for exactly 42 months (1260 days) and that Jesus appeared to the Jews that fled immediately following these 42 months and destroyed the Antichrist's system with the brightness of His coming? They are both cryptograms. Otherwise John would have written six-hundred-and-sixty-six instead of the three Greek short hand symbols for 600 + 60 + 6. These letters have a line over the top to show it is to be interpreted as a number.

He says "count the number" meaning that it is a cryptogram.

"Nero" is the Latin pronunciation and adds up to 616 using Hebrew characters.

"Neron" is the Hebrew equivalent.

Using a Hebrew addition system, John hid Nero's name from his Greek speaking captors.

There is no confusion, the bible tells us one Sabbath is the 7th day which is sundown to sundown beginning on Friday night. The other Sabbaths are given in Leviticus23. They are the Passover, Unleavened Bread, Penecost, Trumphets, Day of Attonement, and Tabernacles.

God warned us through Moses to not add to, or take away from any of this law. The Jews didn't listen and added their own Sabbaths. But every single one of these holidays are a shadow of the ministry of our blessed savior.

This Pretrist doctrine comes straight out of the Vatican. The Futurist doctrine comes out of the Vatican as well. The 616 number comes from bibles that are not from Yah. The 42 months/1260 days/3 1/2 years/times and times and a half are 1260 prophetic days which are years. They began in 538 ad., when the daily sacrifice was taken away (people started confessing their sins to the priests, who then gave their godlike absolution. The era ended in 1798 when the Pope was arrested in Rome.

Actually, in antiquity, Julius Caesar was seen as the first Emperor, so the list is: Julius, Augustus, Tiberius, Gaius, and Claudius. Those are the 5 'fallen.' The "one who is" is Nero. Galba is the 7th, indicated by his very short reign.

The reason only 7 of the emperors were shown was to give a poetic comparison to the 7 hills of Rome. If 5 were, one is, and one will be, all you need is the identity of number 7 to confirm the identity of number 6. This is done quite well with Revelation.

The persecution of Christians as a whole began in November of 64 after the "Great Fire of Rome." To shift blame from himself, Nero blamed the Christians and used it as an excuse to persecute them.

This persecution ended 42 months later when Nero killed himself. As John says, "He that kills with the sword shall die by the sword." (Rev. 13:10)

As for the worship, the Jewish priests would make sacrifices and oblation for the Emperor of Rome (rather than for God alone). In 66 AD, this stopped because of rising tensions between Romans and Jews. As a result, the 12th Legion was sent to Jerusalem and was ambushed. This resulted in the First Jewish-Roman War. In the Johannine Epistles, John mentions "antichrist," but not one specific person. There is a two-fold existence of 'anti-Christ.'

The 1st is doctrine which comes in two forms. There are those who teach that the Messiah was not incarnate (Jews) and there are those who claim that the Messiah was incarnate but lacked divinity. The latter is familiarized under Islam.

The 2nd is Satan alone, who purports the "doctrines" above. He comes in many forms; Such as "Gabriel" to Mohammad, etc.
