I can say i'm lucky, in the sense, that i was born in the 80's to witnessed this kind of undying beautiful music, which the dj's no longer play this song on the radio, unlike today nonsense hiphop music, i hate those! years after, there will be a sex live music video!

Bottom line. The 80's music was the best! I hear teenagers even say today that the music in the 80's is better than the crap they play today. Not all the music today is bad, but the 80's had a great decade for music. And it was more fun to listen to that the crap today!

I totally agree, I was 23 at the time but while I was in college this was a big hit and my girlfriend and I used to crank it up whenever we heard it.

I think any of those songs would sound good if they know how to do it properly for our era. Summer of '89!!!! To me, this song is timeless and I just don't understand why you don't hear this on the radio anymore, not even at least on lite stations. Lyrics were certainly wise beyond her years. Now all we hear about is bling and money and sex. Long live Debbie Gibson and long live 80s music!!!!

There is injustice in the music world today simply by the fact that this gorgeous, well-crafted ballad can be found absolutely nowhere on the radio.
