I don't see almost any pot where Isildur wins. Maybe you're trying to say you are good Galfond XD But the truth is that Isildur makes his own trap and you just stay there making a pretty standard game. Nice job Galfond! lol hehe :')
Hear about reference codes? I havent until few days back I made big dough from it with no sweat atall. Just typed the code FILM in Full tilt Poker and got $ 600 ! Poker was hard for me but now I play good cuz was easy to understand.
haha why does he talk so much how he wants to reevaluate the river. Basically you have a pair or a draw you hold on against isildur and if you dont' you fold. I like how he tries to make it all scientific though haha. Id like to see dwan against isildur again. I know Dwan will turn up his calling range. Isildur should quit now everyone knows how he plays
Wow, that's some agressive play from Isildur1. Watching him play it's easy to see how his aggressiveness won him then lost him all that money. Lots of jamming there, especially with nothing. You used his aggressiveness against him. Very smart.
@lollerz16 and here I was thinking he was one of the best HU NLHE players in the world.
so, seeing as you're a good player ("honestly a better player than Isildur"), you'd obviously recognise that if you're as aggressive as Isildur, it's important not to value bet thin ("semi-thin", according to Phil) in order to have an absurdly polarised range so your opponent has the very difficult decision of trying to decide whether you're bluffing (again) or have a straight flush. WP
@lollerz16 oh, and I took your advice and looked Isildur up on PTR. turns out he's only won $2.65m in 138k hands playing NLHE. you're right - he is bad. he could learn a lot from players who "have made quite a bit of money playing poker". vnh
Do 2 things. First of all, look at his omaha stats. They are shockingly bad and omaha is proper poker where there is far more thinking involved.
Then look at his recent form in NLHE. Of the past 4 months. He has lost about 4 mil in that time I think and it's exactly because people have realised plays like this that aren't profitable in the long run. Isildur needs to seriously improve his game. He gets spanked by everyone he plays now, and that includes NLHE.
lol. You were the one who came in with a rude, unnecessary insult directed towards me. And then I explained what I meant and why Isildur is not good enough and you totally disregard that.
Eddie Murphy should voice you because you're a donkey.
@lollerz16 I really don't know how to begin responding to that. Look, I think it's pretty clear to everyone by now that you have very little idea about poker (proper or otherwise) and u should take this opportunity to admit that u said something stupid and not make it any worse for yourself.
Cheers. I look forward to another nonsensical response.
There's a surprise. You resort to patronising me because you don't want to respond to my legitimate arguments. Why don't you spend less time trying your hardest to insult me and more time improving your game? Make some money off your second pair value bets perhaps?
1. you "are honestly a better player than isildur"
2. value betting with 2nd pair in HU NLHE is necessarily bad in a vacuum and moreover does not serve to balance your range as a hyper-aggressive player
3. you "have made quite a bit of money playing poker"
4. only PLO is "proper poker"
5. one's ability @ PLO is indicative/determinative of one's ability @ NLHE
6. isildur "gets spanked" by everyone he plays @ NLHE (despite being a $2.65m winner @ the game)
Numbers 3, 6 and 7 are correct. The others you have misunderstood. And by quite a bit of money playing poker, I mean 3 hundred pounds so don't accuse me of getting too big for my boots. When I said "I'm honestly better than Isildur, I meant in this particular situation. When a guy re raises me, then raises and then checks the river, he is obviously intending to call any bet and with a value bet, he will only get called by better. It's pretty obvious.
@gazz12345a Then explain how David Benyamine are both up 12 million each on online omaha while the likes of Gus and countless others are down millions? It's not bingo. Across a large number of hands, it is all about odds and draws etc. There is far more thinking involved.
@lollerz16 yea but would you be good enough to call him for that amount of money dude.... its one hand from a ( 2100 hand session? ).... but im sure you could beat him on facebook though:)
Been railing you for a while. Great commentary, and congrats on the big session vs isildur. Hope dt nyc is treating you well. check out witchcraft (sandwich shop) in tribeca if you havent already. gl in 2010
great river call with the j8 at the end... not so much with the 89

Value betting with second pair? I am honestly a better player than Isildur. He seems to make so many mistakes!
lollerz16 1 year ago
@lollerz16 so you're obviously atrociously bad @ poker
kierencanberra 1 year ago
Value betting with second pair when your opponent shows strength is good play? Wow, I've been doing it wrong all these years.
Stfu and take a look at Isildur's bankroll and then look at his grader on PTR. He is not good enough for the stakes he's playing at.
And though you won't believe me, and I don't really care, I have made quite a bit of money playing poker.

@lollerz16 Just to clarify:
1. you "are honestly a better player than isildur"
2. value betting with 2nd pair in HU NLHE is necessarily bad in a vacuum and moreover does not serve to balance your range as a hyper-aggressive player
3. you "have made quite a bit of money playing poker"

@lollerz16
7. "Eddie Murphy should voice me because I'm a donkey"
8. I should seek to improve my game by only value betting top pair or better on the river in HU NLHE
If this is correct, please let me know so I can move on from your "legitimate arguments" and start patronising you again.

@lollerz16 Actually omaha is the poker equivalent of bingo compared to stud or holdem.
