  • it's a popular khampa song

  • hi ikhamo.. you probably know this.. in the subtitle it says 'aa chi la trom'.. isn' it 'aa chi la drong' (or aa kyi la drong"?) 'trom is a market.. well.. im not sure my self.. wondering..

  • Good Q. I'm not sure myself but you are right about the subtitle. Too bad we both dont seem to know about our popular Khampa song but knowlege starts with your curiosity. I'll get back to you if I find out.

  • bbghkkljk

  • i kno this song wen i was kid

  • beautiful song : )

  • Very meaning full song. It dilineates the historical territory of tibet. China is trying to mislead the world by showing only U stang as tibet. Hope one day we will be able to return and reign over the three provinces. Free Tibet. Beautiful song.

  • yakmanok :

    HaHahahaha, u r so ignorant!

If westerners brainwashed by distorted info that only U stang as tibet, then they may think tibet was a country, but when they know nearly 3.6 million Tibetans lived in Amdo and Kham, then , they realised that Tibet was ,is and always will be a aprt of China.

    Why ? boz:

Tibetans were actually latecomers to Amdo

Tibetans have been outnumbered by other ethnic groups since centuries ago in both Kham and Amdo

  • Wrong, "joe". There is no recorded meaningful settlements of chinese on the tibetan plateau. there has been some mongols in Amdo, around kokonor. Mongols are all but chinese (you remember the great wall? against who did you chinks sacrifice millions of your own or building it?) On the borders of historical tibet there has been flux of both ethnies, yours and mine, for trade. Like all countries. Thats it.

read other things than CCP self justifying and "books" of lies.

  • Just after read other things than CCP I knew that Tibetan was minority in Amdo!!

There is a famous book writen by Dalair lama named "Freedom in exile".

He wrote there clearly that when he was born in 1935, his hometown, Amdo was ruled by a Muslim warlord named Ma pufang, Ma pufang was chairman of Qinghai province during 1920s-1950s.

Can you tell me Ma pufang belonged to which country?

  • 1.Qiang and Di are the first, that lived in this Qinghai(kokonor),The Di people were related by marriage with other ethnic groups. Their decedents became the Han nationality later

  • 2.

In 121B.C, the Han Dynasty government established a fortress here and built the Xiping Pavilion overseeing the areas of Yellow and Huangshui Rivers, thus began its control over the eastern part of Qinghai.

During the 2-3rd century Qiang and Han were constantly in fierce battles against each other. By the end of the 3rd century, however, it seemed that Qiangs were inevitably losing the war.

  • Some Qiang tribes stayed and mixed with Han into Chinese. Some others moved southwards along the southeastern boundary of Tibetan Plateau and settled down in Kham area which is now western Sichuan Province and northwestern Yunnan Province of China. They are the ancestors of many ethnic groups nowadays in this region, such as Naxi people in Yunnan

The Xianbei people were a significant nomadic people residing in Manchuria and eastern Mongolia. At the beginning of the 4th century, the Xianbei people moved into Qinghai and set up a Tuyuhun kingdom of their own. Tuyuhun was conquered by the Tibetan kingdom In 663. Over the following centuries most Tuyuhun people assimilated by Tibetans, the rest Tuyuhun people became the Tu ethnic group, living in Qinghai(kokonor), nowdays.

In the 13th century, the Mongolians entered Qinghai. Yuan dynasty established administration to govern the Tibet tribes in Qinghai. Then Mongolians entered Qinghai lasting for centuries even after Yuan dynasty ended. Such as,at the beginning of the 16th century, the Heshuote tribe, one of the four tribes of Elute Mongolia, moved to Qinghai.

the Qing Dynasty enhanced its control and the development of Gansu, Ningxia and Qinghai provinces.

Hui and Salar entered Qinghai from the 14th century. They are descended from Arab and Persian Muslim traders who settled in China and gradually intermarried and assimilated into the surrounding population keeping only their distinctive religion. Especially ,a lots of western Asia Muslim followed the returning of Mongolians'army entered into China during the 13th century.

In 1912, Ma Qi,a Hui warlord was appointed as the highest military commander of Xining by Beijing government.

  • Since then, Ma's warlords, including Ma Qi's son,Ma Pu-fang, controlled Qinghai for almost 40 years with the support of the KMT government until CCP entered in 1949

  • hehe..well said..
