@taariqtaariq Oh I love me some Europe '72, was PigPen at his finest, but the Brent years are pretty good to. I often wondered what the dead would have sounded like if we never lost Pigpen. They would have a lot more blues in there music that for sure
This was the year, love anything from '72, they were on for this tour. Wish I would have seen them then. I was only 1 so don't know if it would've had the same effect
@bamdude3 YEA, but its known and recorded first from europe 72' then bobby put it on a solo album (and the musicians ARE the dead!)...like garcia's solos albume GARCIA... songs already well known..i think they just didnt want to put them out as 'grateful dead' albums due to music contract restrictions..... i do love bobbys solo version of BTW (black throated wind) from the solo album...which actually is the dead playing just as well!!! cheers!!
Jerry is playing his Alligator Strat before he put the alligator sticker on it! And, PIG and KEITH are there rocking! Great view back into time! CHEERS!
"and god way up in heaven, for whatever it was worth, thought he'd have a big ol' party, thought he'd call it planet earth" thts true genius right there
well you should get into them because they were one of the best bands like beatles stones who kinks zeppelin hendrix cream floyd yes crimson elp doors genesis beach boys dusty/olivia/kate cohen dylan young csn ZAPPA ELVIS and many many more and the only reason why and with my lonely boring life I haven't committed suicide
No way on earth this is 67. C'mon, Mickey left the bad for a bit in 71, thats why he is not there. No question this is '72. Great great great...never seen this before
WOW! This is a piece of pure joy (and history)! First, you can hear Bobby's vocals and guitar. Second, Pigpen and Keith are on the same stage (I thought Pig was gone long before Keith entered the scene). Third, where is Donna?
Well I may not be able to see this but atleast I have Furthur
