Physicians are threatened by NPs. But they shouldn't be. NPs are THE answer to primary care in Australia and North America and other parts of the world. We need physicians to do complicated care for all our residents. NPs are proven in America and patients have been shown by clinical trial evidence to get BETTER primary care from NPs than physicians.
Yeah the big theme is here that Nps are needed. We don't have enough doctors and in many ways NPs may be more suited and more suitable in certain situations. Thanks for your feedback. It is greatly appreciated
Seems to me that the Dr's ARE worried that there status is being undermined by this. Tough. So what if there are a couple of different routes to becoming an exceptional healer.
I know a lot of docs and none of them are threatened by NPs at least in the states...they appreciate their work, and they hire them happily...I think this "threat" stuff is all hype by the media and ignorance in general
im sure doctors's ego will be greatly affected with this...hahaha...im really excited to do NP course.however, in some countries NP profession is not present because Medical Doctors are not in favor of an NP role.

doctors have too much pride & are stuck up. they don't want to accept NP. why is there a need to feel threatened?
