That took a good day. A little longer than usual do to my walking back and forth to click the camera.

  • wow that's brilliant

  • This work and other reminds me of the work of Lewis Ermer in Nevada in the 1970s was carving indians and such, he use to make them look so real and alive, you do good work

  • I wonder if I have crossed trails with him back in the 70's when I first started out. What part of Nevada was he or is he from?

  • This is really great ! How much do something like this cost? Could you carve from a photo?

  • I have carved from a photo, depending on what the subject is. And the cost depends on how big a carving you would want.

  • Hello Ron, This from Australia. Have just started woodcarving, finding your clips extremely helpful.

Is the timber you're using a hardwood?

    Thank you,

    2rustydogs

  • This carving is not hardwood. I do use hardwood at times. The Cottonwood bark is a really dense bark and looks like a hardwood when finished.

  • I love it
