If Pangea is correct then why does every continent have different ages for every extinct volcanoe, fault lines and mountain ranges occurring nowhere near the tectonic plate edges?
I have a question? The outcome of the big earthquake in Chili a couple of months ago did something that fly's in the face of plate tectonics. I brought up Google after reading a news report from usgs. And I turned on Realtime Earthquakes and found it odd that when the arrow indicating the Pacific Plate movement said it should be moving East. The Western coastal area's of Chili moved 11 feet to the west on the global coordinates system. Any Idea's?
Some of these videos remind me of micheal Jacksons video "black or white" where it looks feasable for a white woman to morph into a black dreadlocked male then to a chubby asian man.
i could make the continents morph into daffy duck given the right software and make it look feasable...amirite>?
Continental drift/tectonic plates floating magical around on fairy dust is so irrational. Note in this animation that the Mediterranean Sea is depicted as always being water, yet to the contrary there have been discoveries of settlements throughout the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea which was formerly a massive primordial valley that was populated.
@Eschatus2 You might keep in mind that this video spans more than 150 million years of time. It actually does show significant portions of the Mediterranean above water about three quarters of the way through the sequence, but any human settlements would only have emerged during the last 10,000 years or so. That would represent about .007 percent of the time, and that wouldn't be discernible on this clip.
This is all delusional make-believe. Note in the animation how the Andes have always existed since the start of this 150 million year timeline, yet according to you and the experts if human civilization is less that 8 to 10 thousand years old, then why in the Bolivian Andes is there an ANCIENT SEA PORT (Tiahuanacu) located 2.5 miles (12,500 feet) above sea level? See how utterly IRRATIONAL this bogus accepted model is? It's SCIENCE FICTION.
I don't think this crude animation was intended to reflect all the minute changes in specific mountain ranges. Abundant data on the Andes and their history can be easily be found elsewhere. As for Tiahuanaco, you're right. That's the elevation, which would require the lake to have receded several miles...which it has and continues to do so. The ruins represent multiple culture living above and below the current lake level and spanning thousands of years. What is the problem you see with that?
You said, "...any human settlements would only have emerged during the last 10,000 years or so." This model shows the Andes NOT at sea level 150 million years ago. Tiahuanacu (a SEA PORT)had to have been at sea level before this 150 million year date, according to this animation model. So the "problem is" this does not jive with: "... any human settlements would only have emerged during the last 10,000 years or so."
Right again. That culture does have stories that tell of occupation of the region as far back as 30K years ago. Regarding Tiahuanaco, I would recheck my facts about a 'seaport' since the settlements bordered a high elevation interior lake that was not at sea level during the time occupation by these peoples. It always turns out that these claims are distorted and leave out important facts in order to reach the desired conclusion. I have no motive, just finding the truth.
No, the Earth is not growing according to ANY theory. What is here is just being recycled. It's quit simple actually, but if you can't understand it that would not be the fault of the theory.
Wow, you are one of those people who believes in that junk? Sorry to burst your bubble, but it doesn't work that way. Go do a LOT more research before believing in that garbage.
Ok then smarty pants please explain how come the continents fit back together all the way round the globe then. I have cut up globes and done experiments to check he is correct also explain Gannymeade and mars and all the other moons that show this to be correct......
*Sigh* Okay, so according to that theory, the Earth is "Growing". Where is the new matter coming from? Where did all the water of the oceans come from, if the Earth was once completely land, as you are suggesting? Did these planetary bodies just "pop" into existence? I don't think so. And neither does anybody else who can think logically.

This video while pretty is inaccurate.
What does the maker suggest happened in the pacific? does the maker believe that subduction only happened there?
if so why how come the age of the rock in the pacific are the same as the rock in the atlantic?
how can an entire continent move against the rotation of the earth?
how come the maker ignores the obvious that the continents all fit together in the pacific ?
this theory is bunk !
wegener knew it.
