I had the same experience you did with one of those target balls. I hit it with 9mm and .45 ACP from handguns and 7.62X39 from an SKS at both close and moderate ranges. If I was lucky, it rolled around a little. Most of the time it spun in place or did essentially nothing. I gave up on it and mainly shoot AR500 steel targets now. Your videos are excellent. I love the absence of the all too common backward lean! You really shoot very well.

That's my home defense shotgun and I named her Scarlett :) I'm glad you're loving yours. As far as cleaning, it definitely depends on the gun and how lazy I feel :) My carry gun I clean pretty much every time I fire it, though.

Nice vid and channel!! A buddy of mine bought two of those targets and ended up hanging it from a tree branch. Says its work out better as the target moves he gets different directional shooting.
@MrKZizzle Good idea! If only we had some trees here in the desert I'd try that out :) I bought some tennis balls and took those to the range and for $27 less, they were much more entertaining and useful than the target ball
@MrKZizzle I've been shooting at tennis balls for awhile. Recently added golf balls to the mix....those little suckers go FLYING if you hit them right :)

Just a suggestion, but what if you tried attaching a tall target to a remote controlled car? It won't bounce, but as long as you don't shoot the car, at least it will move :)

I don’t want to get in trouble with PETA, but have you thought of buying a bunny and wrapping it up in kevlar? As long as you use your 9mm, it should hop... I mean bounce around for a while. It doesn’t have that self-healing feature though. So aim away from the head and genitalia.
@programedmind Yes it is a training tool. However it was not useful in the way I thought it would be. I was looking for a target that would bounce around, so I could work on acquiring target quickly on something that moved unpredictably. With the way this thing moved, I'd be better off shooting empty bottles, tennis balls, etc because those are free or cheap....this thing was 30 bucks and not worth the money.

@seedsjln370 I had to choose from this ball, some other ball, or the cube. The top hat looks a little better but I'd be hesitant to go buy another. To be honest, I've shot at 2 other targets by this company and they were all horrible.

Hey. I bought one of those from Walmart except is was square. The package showed it flipping in the air, doing somersaults, bouncing high & low. NOT!!! I paid $29.00 for it and it's a piece of crap. Very disappointed. Being square, it doesn't even roll. At least yours did. Great video.

I've got one of those, but it's a different shape. I think it works just fine, but you're right, it doesn't jump around like I expected. My 30-30 does a good job at making it move though. And you're right, it's windy as hell there.
Nice grouping the the 9mm baby eagle and the self healing target ball is probally just a gimmick by the company so we spend more money on their products.

I have to say, cleaning guns is an obsession with me, and HAS to be done as soon as I get home! I'm very anal about the cleanliness, also. Damned OCD!
@woodswalker67 Thank you. It wasn't a very complete review on video but I did shoot it with .223 and 7.26x39 and it was just as lame as with the handgun. The oddly shaped targets may bounce around better but the ball was boring, at best. I'd rather shoot an empty plastic bottle! I'll also say it didn't "self heal" very well and got pretty chewed up. Glad you found the review helpful! :)
pretty damn good groupings w/ the baby eagle girl. Luvin' that HK P30. I got a PPQ to hold me over till then lol. Cleaning guns is the shit lemme tell ya. I'd rather do that then shoot :-P

Great video. It is very refreshing to see a woman lean into the weapon and move tactically as appose to standing there with a swayed back and almost falling down from recoil. You obviously have good training. More of us, men and woman need just that. More training.

I have the Impact Seal Top Hat and the Cube. The Cube kind of sucks, the Top Hat is better, it is more reactive and moves unpredictably.

Nice grouping the the 9mm baby eagle and the self healing target ball is probally just a gimmick by the company so we spend more money on their products.

Well, add me to the "Big Old' Softy" club with LMarshall32, that was a cute pup! I have 3 that are part of the family and spoiled ROTTEN! Impressive groups with the HK, especially in that wind, off hand! You'll probably do better with my XD(M) 9MM 3.8, though! LOL!
I have to say, cleaning guns is an obsession with me, and HAS to be done as soon as I get home! I'm very anal about the cleanliness, also. Damned OCD!

@woodswalker67 Thank you. It wasn't a very complete review on video but I did shoot it with .223 and 7.26x39 and it was just as lame as with the handgun. The oddly shaped targets may bounce around better but the ball was boring, at best. I'd rather shoot an empty plastic bottle! I'll also say it didn't "self heal" very well and got pretty chewed up. Glad you found the review helpful! :)

pretty damn good groupings w/ the baby eagle girl. Luvin' that HK P30. I got a PPQ to hold me over till then lol. Cleaning guns is the shit lemme tell ya. I'd rather do that then shoot :-P

@MrCleanerNash Yeah I wish I didn't even have to shoot to get my guns dirty, I'd rather just sit around and clean them all the time LOL The Baby Eagle isn't my gun and I have very few rounds through it so I felt OK about that group, especially in the wind. I have seen those "reaction" targets now and wondered the same thing. I guess they are just too heavy. I always wonder if people clean their guns after shooting that many so way to end it! Cool vid.

Great video. It is very refreshing to see a woman lean into the weapon and move tactically as appose to standing there with a swayed back and almost falling down from recoil. You obviously have good training. More of us, men and woman need just that. More training.

Great video, I guess after shooting lots of tannerite, that ball target was just a little boring. I had one years ago but it was square in shape, seems like it did jump around a bit, but did not last as long as they advertised
