thats 1 knowledgeable salesman right there! he haz himself a dodge a cummins V8 engine! almost made me feel kinda lame with my inline 6 cummins. what a horsez ass!
and what is up with all of the ford fans commenting on this video?? They must be shopping for a real truck lol!!!! Just a joke, nobody get too offended lol
ok if people who watch this video would read the caption below, he wrote that he made a mistake and he knew it, so how about everybody and their dog not comment on the video and tell his its a straight six, because even if he didnt know that, about two hundred people have already told him! Cut the guy a break......
Hmmm my aunt's truck (same year, same trim, but with the 5.9L V8 instead of the Cummins I6) has different speaker grilles in the front doors than this thing, but all the rest of the interior is the same. I wonder why?
Gotta love the cummins there my all time favorite truck im hopeing to get a job soon then im getting a 2001 dodge 2500 cummins turbo dieseil with 6' stacks
My aunt's got one of these...... it's the 2DR Club Cab, Flame Red Clear Coat with Black Premium Cloth interior and Black interior trim...... has the 5.9L V8 with the Automatic and 4WD in it. Has every option but leather and a sun roof, great stereo too...... and only 32000 miles on it.
Diesels are very reliable but since we have 1 life to live why spend it listening to an 18-wheeler sound when the new, quiet gas engines develop 300-400HP and get 20+mpg.
Ofcourse if I lived in the mountain in some nowhereland I'd take a diesel instead of gas-engine truck but few of us do.
@MalibuLS98 I have a 2009 ford f-250 superduty king ranch 4x4. I work for ford mo co on the f-series production line, so i get employee discount lol, not saying i wouldn't have one even if i didn't work 4 em.
@weegeemike aside form the 7.3 being big as hell, the 6.4 present day diesel has more toque than the 7.3, so big only plays a small role in the performance dept.
@weegeemike idk about that man being i work for ford mo co on the f-series production line, and we built the cass iron push rod 7.3 liter with a couple of " get rich quick" skeems, which is what GM did to there v6s at the time, meaning they built a certain part inside the engine to fail after a certain amount of time so every1 would start coming to buy a new one so they could make money. The 6.4 liter modern day diesel is not built like that, it is all aluminum, and built liike a RR.
@weegeemike Don't get me wrong i like the 7.3 big block, but i would choose the 6.4 anyday, which is what i have in my 2009 ford f-250 SD king ranch 4x4. I use it to tow my 11,000+ boat.
Notice on these models (I have a 1999) that there is no break shift interlock. Not very safe, but to shift you dont need to step on the break. I always do though.
It's something with the way dodge makes seats. Every dodge that I have seen gets a rip in that part of the seat. But they are really great trucks, I love the body styling. Nice video man.
@avick84 yep. Diesels only have on average about 5,000 rpms to give. It can rev more, but the car manufactuer makes it like that so you won't break your engine because it's so big.
How come you didn't do a video of the Intrigue next to it? You got something against oldsmobiles? lol, I'm messing with you. Another great vid, like always.
Awesome Truck bro, has always been my favorite truck with that motor. only thing i dont like is its not a standard, but its cool i would still drive it.
