  • I'm so happy I own this record. :D

  • These songs are inspirational and every college student should hear this album!

  • kill them off by peaceful means!

  • Thank you for posting this! Lehrer's songs are wonderful.

  • Pure musical genius.

  • digital is the devil!

  • You're using the internet, that's digital, as is this video.

  • If i need the devil to listen to this, call me a satanist :)

  • three of the best

  • Smut is one of his best songs...

  • ah, the days of side B. how I miss them...sorta. anyways, thanks for puting this up^^

  • YEAH!

  • recorded in 1965 and it still is timely, maybe more than ever-

  • TOM

    LEHRER

    WILL BE 80

    ON APRIL 9th, 08 !

LET'S HAVE AN INTERNATIONAL TOM LEHRER DAY

  • Thank you, I'd rather see video of a spinning record than a dumb random image slide show that most songs on YouTube have.

  • Rather see video of a spinning record than a dumb random image slide show?

    I SECOND THAT!!!

  • I'd rather see the video of the show than anything else ;P

  • You guys actually watch the video? I just move to something else on a different tab. =b

  • @Steeple333 i just read the comments

  • God, do I ever love "Smut". Mr Lehrer's voice turns positively roguish when he sings, "and the Wizard of Oz, there's a dirty old man!" ;)

  • I must have heard an edited version of these songs. In pollution he says: "Throw out your breakfast garbage and I've got a hunch. The folks downstream will drink it for lunch!"

And in National Brotherhood week he says Muhammed Ali*(can't spell his orginal name).

  • Well, the lyrics differ per recording, since it's live and all. I believe this record was recorded in San Francisco, hence the reference to "the bay."

  • Thanks so much for uploading these songs! I love Tom Lehrer!

  • It could only happen in the sixties. As the man himself said, satire became obsolete when Henry Kissenger won a nobel peace prize.

  • Right. Then Al Gore won this year, to complete the circle of idiocy. Politicians & peace go together like Rush Limbaugh & Al Sharpton...

  • This stuff shouldn't be getting truer and truer with time. Seriously.

  • @Shine223 well it does. so what can we do

  • it's so had to believe this came out in the 60's i mean it just sounds sooo...like what you would hear on comady central or something!

  • what, you dont think Lehrer was a MAJOR influence on comedians?

  • Quite a few parallels with current times.

  • Smut is my favorite. I love smutty stuff! It's the best thing in the world. I love smut! I want a shirt that says I love smut!
