My favorite thing to do with that orb is drop it immediately if I see a pile of bones on the floor. Then I'd walk over and place a bomb on the bone pile. I would then pick up the orb again and bring them back to life just in time to look at the bomb, make their 'oh crap' gesture and then get blown sky high. ;)
