So there I am trying to feed these adorable baby ducklings and then this pelican comes swimming up. I figure there is enough food to go around but boy was I in for a big surprise. The pelican starts downing the little ducklings like they are drizzled in truffles and caramel sauce. So I say "hey Pelican, i'm trying to feed some wild life here!" at which point it turns around and bites me. Long story short I captured it and bound it's wings then threw it off a cliff. Don't mess with Darkwing Duck.

It's not nice to see these ducks being eaten (well, these ones got away..) but the fact is this; if EVERY baby animal that was born made it to adulthood, then the world would be over populated with them. Nature evens things up by having large litters, so some die naturally, some get eaten and some make it to maturity. Nature can be ruthless, but it's also perfect.
