  • When Nadal became right handed???

  • will i grow taller if i play tennis regularly ?

  • is this or virtua tennis 2009 better? and which is easier to max your custom character out?

  • fronthands?! r u serious???!!!

  • Does this work on Dolphin??

  • Well this game was released without proper testing. It doesn't respond like said and shown on the promotional video. In fact it's very far from that, the player behaviour is erratic, it doesn't move like it should, and sometimes even refuses to move or make the movement you ordered it. It's even worse online, it's laggy beyond playability.

    A very bad investment.

  • I wouldnt recomend buying it,it looks nice enough considering its a wii game but the minute you play it you will notice that the controls seem to do whatever they please and dont really represent real tennis whatsoever.

  • The only reason i bought this for the wii is cause of the wii motion plus. You can actually change each shot which is fun. Instead of pressing buttons for a ps3 or xbox. So i like sports games except madden and nba for the wii.

  • how do you figure games like, tennis and golf and better on the ps3 or 360?? how is controlling the game with your thumbs better than the real true motion of the sport with a wii remote?? I'll admit not all types of games are better on the wii. in fact most games are better on other systems but most sports games like golf, tennis, bowling ect are far funner on the wii. 90% of humans with a brain would agree. You're just a lazy ass fat kid.

  • @MolineScott

Not necessarily. It all comes down to a matter of preference. I personally agree with you on the point that sports games are better on the wii, but I also like some other games better on the wii as well. I like The Conduit, (fps) because it feels much more natural than on other console. You lead your gun around, the gun isn't always pointing at the direct center of the screen, and it's faster. I like the Godfather controls better than GTA IV controls (though GTA is the better game)

  • As a continuation of my previous comment, it all comes down to preference and developing.

  • @necov77

yea ofcourse thats why the only games that are actually worth looking at those two are first person shooters.

    ps:go play cod6

  • @necov77

Any game on the wii is crap? Really? This game looks like crap? Please enlighten me as to the reasons for your statements. What exactly makes the PS3 and Xbox 360 "real consoles" as opposed to wii? The fact that they're the same experiences as 2 generations ago with some added graphical details and extra pixels on screen? The features unrelated to gaming? Don't get me wrong, if you like pushing buttons better, be my guest, just don't act as if your negative opinions are universal.

  • is there a perk for roger feds backwards between the legs jump and kill shot?

  • yes there is

  • is this game worth buying?

  • playing real life tennis is worth buying

  • true, but i suck at it :(

  • my name on grand slam tennis is Chris

  • is this better than virtua tennis 2009 ?

  • i havent played grand slam tennis but it looks better to me.

  • You would love this game if you want to play real tennis. I won the Australian Open twice, the French Open twice and Wimbledon and the U.S. Open each once and I've only had Wii Grand Slam Tennis for one week, this is the greatest thing since they invented sliced bread. The motionplus is incredible!!!

  • ROFL

  • I beleive soo

  • just watched your reviews of gst, tw10. great job, very descriptive. answered alot of my questions. just subscribed also. now i dont know what 2 buy-gst or wii sports resort. want both but cant afford to buy both, only 1. plus gst doesnt come bundled with motion plus, real bummer. crap!

  • I dnt think its supposed tooo cuzz like motion plus was released in july right? and this was in june.

  • where do u change the number of games per match or set

  • i am deffo going to purchase this game soon

  • i love how EA did the buddy list online better than 4300 digit wii friend codes

people add me look for eddyray24online for this and tiger woods 2010 also

  • myne is thebeast26

  • for some reason i cant play online with grand slam it say that i lose the connection but i can play tiger woods 2010 with no problem so sorry unless you have tiger woods

    then its the same name

  • I hate how they are making everything on wii child freindly (cartoonish). Look at madden 10. how many 5 year olds play these sports games anyway.

  • exactly

  • this is probably the worst graphics ea sports have ever made on a game

  • if only the graphics were better this would be the best

  • its hard to use the nunchuck

  • you really should get used to the controls before you do the review...

  • ok wtf? nadal uses his left hand when he plays, even thought he is straight, but why the fuck in this game he is using his rght hand while playin? this is a big mius for the game

  • in this game you have the ability to use either hand for each and every player in the game (so yes this means you could play with lefty Federers and Righty Nadals) This accomodates the hand preference of the user

  • Yeah, but what if a right-handed player wanted to use Nadal? Would he just have to leave it|?

  • you get to choose to play right handed or left handed in the game, the man set it up to play right handed

  • Nadal is using his right hand because the player is using the wii remote in his right hand.. you wouldn't be able to choose your shots.. a left handed forehand would be a right handed backhand.. in Zelda TP they made link hold th sword in his right hand for similar reasons.

  • dvmoreno90, the reason that nadal is using his right hand, is because the dude doing the review is obviously right handed, nadal might be left handed but pretty much a majority of the world is right handed, so don't think you know about tennis just because u kno nadal plays with his left hand, wow it just amazed me to see that comment, thank you for making my day, (this not hater comment i just hysterically laughed when i saw this comment srry had to)

  • I love this game with my whole heart...

  • is the wii motion plus a new remote or a update for it

  • its a thing that plugs into the bottom of the wiimote. it comes with a jacket for the remote as well

  • It is a addition to the wii mote. It is a small block you put instead of the nunchuck in your mote,

  • Nice review!

  • This or the Conduit

  • grand slam tennis for ps3 & xbox 360 will be just like this or it will be more like a real player?

  • ok what is the song at the beging

  • Eminem - Crack a Bottle

  • can you play me a singles wimbledon federer vs sampras and video it Plz Plz Plz I think U own

  • thats the only thing i think is annoying...you have to hold a button to do a lob....its like in a sword game you have to hold a button to stab. I WANT IT TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE FROM THE MOVEMENT

  • This game was amazing thnkz for the review Danyar10

If u can can u do teh condiut?

  • Hey, how does the online work? Do we use our custom characters or the stock pros? And as a real tennis player myself (quite good) how does it feel? Will I be disappointed?

  • this or virtual tennis 2009????

    pleeease answer

  • I am going to buy Virtua... I can't stand EA as a gaming manufacturer. They are purely there for profit and use their extensive turnover to purchase the rights for almost everything. Also, my reasons for buying a tennis game are: fun, gameplay (eg courts, characters) and realism. Virtua seems to offer much more realism (as it is not cartoon for a start)... both look equally fun, and Virtua has more courts than grand slam, and I am sure the single player mode is fantastic as Virtuas always is...

  • The gameplay in grandslam is much more realistic. Virtua tennis uses the swing late go right method.

  • this game is awsome!

  • how is it online

  • good review.. is it easy to hit flat shots?..cuz all youre doing is hitting topspin or slices.

  • Great review, thanks mate. I've gotta buy this game!!!

  • grand slam tennis or virtua tennis 2009 for wii ?

  • How is the multiplayer???

  • How is the online gameplay??

  • how do you move your player nunchuck or with the control pad??

  • I use the nunchuk. More control over what you want to do

  • I find it hard to use it easier to use just motion plus

  • This looks absolutely awesome. :D

  • Sweet thanks for the review, I was looking for one.

    See you Online !

  • you should review punch out for the wii

im looking for a pro review cuz im wondering if i should get it or not

  • I will be doing one today. I have had punchout since launch and will be reviewing it. Keep a look out and subscribe if you havent already!

  • cool

can i play this game without WM+

  • Yep.

  • @IchatRus1 get it for nostalgia reasons. Don't get it if you think there are online options. No Online play what so ever!

  • yo danny do u know anything about this cool fightinng game tatsunoko vs capcom if u do try gettin ur hands on it

  • hmm well i tryed what you said but it still has the prob. and by my charactor is moving by its self i mean it is moving his racket from left and right realy fast by its self.

  • horrid gragics!!!!!!!!

  • hey i have this game and WM+ but somereason my WM+ isnt working well. it just isnt doing my movements and it moves my charactor when im not doing enything. help. oh and nice vid

  • I had this problem at first as well. You need to make sure your centered in front of the sensor bar and make sure you calibrate the WM+ once in a while by keeping the control still for 2 seconds. Also you should be using the nunchuk as well as not using it causes the AI to move your player randomly. Hope that helps!

  • Sensor bar has nothing to do with the accelerometer or gyroscope movement, it's all about the way the remote is positioned with calibrating it. As long as you keep it in the center you're fine.

  • I subcribed you,

    Ur awsome

    xD

  • Thanks a lot, really appreciated. thank you for the support. As long as you guys keep watchin and rating ill keep putting them out!

  • Good shit man.

  • Thanks a lot i've been looking for some user videos. I wish you'd have shown character creation and what clothing choices there are specifically but whatever.

    Thanks a ton, appreciate it.

  • Berry Nice! This game is awesome, I bought it yesterday and couldnt put it down. Still getting used to the controls though.

  • Isn't Nadal lefthanded????

  • Yes he is. But he chose right-handed configuration, so the game makes Nadal right-handed for it to imitate the player's movements. If you were left-handed, Nadal or any other character would appear left-handed.

  • Ok thx a lot...

And one more thing... How do you move char. in game???

  • There are 2 options. You can let the game move the character for you, but the AI behind it seems to choose the wrong side sometimes, or you can play with the nunchuk to have full control over your player.

  • So which is better, with nunchuk or if you play with wii motion plus???

  • Both ways you can play with wii motion plus (with or without nunchuk), and the use of this accesory improves the precision and gameplay tremendously, so I absolutely recommend it. The only drawback is that more precision requires more accuracy from your part, but nothing that a little practice can't do (just don't be frustrated if at first you can't get too many balls in the court). But it makes the experience a lot more real.

  • Well thx... I havn't played this game yet, but I'm trying to decide what to buy, Wii or new mobile phone... The price is same but the problem is that I can't fine the model that i want so I was thinking buying Wii instead of phone...

  • It really depends on you. If you like games, playing with friends I would recommend you to buy a wii. In my place, if I already had a phone I would buy a wii. But you should really try it and see if you like playing on it as well as the games that are available for the console.

  • Well I played Wii once, Wii sports I think, and I have a lot of fun... The only reason for me to buy Wii is this game, cause I really like tennis and this game has the most realistic shot placement... At first I didn't like graphics, but now it is ok to me, especially with good gameplay and grunts thet I really like... The only minus from me is that there is no Jankovic in game, but the lineup is good....

  • Thanks again everyone for your support. More vids coming today!

  • Good review man.

  • ouch, bad game

  • Hey mate awesome review.. How 1:1 is the game?

    thanks

  • Thanks for the review- I learn a lot more from this than any written review from other websites- Good job!

I like the grand slam presentation of this game- It's pretty cool.

  • Thanks for your time. You have shamed the gamer site reviews and showed me what I need to know. One more day.

I'm going to buy TW too when it finally comes out in europe..

  • Thank you. very much appreciated. And I would appreciate if you have any friends or subscribers of your own that would appreciate what i do please send them my way . thanks!

  • Great review! Looking forward to watching more of your reviews.

  • Good review, mate. I'm sick today (I live in Australia) so I'm looking to go down and buy the game. Can I play you online?

  • the players play based on the hand you pick. so if your righty any player will play righty.

  • Nice review

  • great review man, hope you can maybe do a video with the online content, great review anyways, just waiting for the VT 09 reviews to kick in for me to be able to choose between them...

  • Yea definitely. If enough people request it Ill do an in depth online review.

  • That's precisely what I wanted to see, actually. One for TW PGA Tour 10 would be most appreciated as well. And yeah, I'm waiting on more thoughts on VT 2009 as well.

  • I have a review up already for TW PGA 10. Check out my channel page and subscribe if you havent already. Thanks!

  • I meant an online review of it. I already saw that right after I watched this.

  • Not bad. Good to hear that you're enjoying the integration of WM+ because at the moment, the overall response seems very mixed. Do you find it giving you a hard time at times or is it simply a matter of spending time with the game and getting used to it? How do you find with calibration and stuff?

  • Ive found its really having to get used to the controls. Also very important that your centered in front of the sensor bar otherwise you get mixed results. Ive nailed the controls and it seems perfect.

  • Hmm, that's what I figured. How big of a learning curve did you find this game to have and how long did it take you to nail the controls? Also, now that you've got the controls down, do you ever find control errors (that aren't entirely your fault) at inopportune moments or are those moments over and done with now that you're used to the controls? Thanks in advance.

  • Had a pretty good learning curve. You have to tie a couple things all together. One, the positioning. You have to be centered. Two, turning yourself 180 degrees for backhands, and Three, the follow through on your swings. You have to watch that if you dont want to knock it out of bounds all the time. Theres still some rare moments where it wont do what i want but they are rare. Hope that helps

  • looks fun with the doubles

  • Good review,man!

  • thx a lot. i ordered GST yesterday.

in europe its bundled with wm+

    good review
