need to know why my boomshot is lost every time i start back up after each and every cutscene my weapons are reset it seems i promise you i dont smoke crack lol just wanna know why thats not working for me

I did it, yay! trying to do the whole campaign on insane by myself, wonder how hard the one part will be with the giant centipedes, the only way I know how to do this is turn to the right and run toward the crate at 0:37 right when you land you have to be facing it and run as soon as you can and get behind it, hope this will help others as well
if you do this right you shouldnt get hit by his pot shots. blind fire at any drudges that come your way, don't revive any team mates as gunker will spot you. once only gunker is left. slowly blind throw the frags over the barrier in the direction of the gunker and should soon finish
okay I got this. thought it was impossible at first, but doing the following after 2 or 3 goes was actually quite easy. no boomshot. all i had was snub pistol, lancer, sniper and 4 frags. as you're on the zipline don't do anything but mark the gunker that you eventually face, this way you ensure he is distracted by the others (baird, sam, carmine). when you land run for cover, on the left hand side (as you face it when you land) of the median barrier, directly behind the front bit,

I've tried what you say, don't shoot and target, it almost works, but if a run to cover at the middle i still get hit by gunker, but, if i run directly to catch frags in rail, i survive the land. Just have to say guys as easy as you make the opening sequence of this chapter look it so aint that easy, a downright bitch. I beat gears 1 and 2 on insane. beat 3 on hardcore died a handful of times, but insane, insane is right. That being said your commentary, absolute gold haha, I have a ps3 the only games I've played to any length is uncharted series and heavy rain but to hear that compared to gears and halo, that a ps3 franchise game is a steaming pile of shit lol, gotta love it.

it is a bit easier to handle gunker here if do this....keep camera on opposite direction to gunker n just after u land u run to cover behind a big container on right side ......even u sud b safe from he fire balls it throws (4-5 atleast) within this time u must kill it ..do whatever grenades active reload lancer boomshot...

They should release a patch that either, removes that gunker completely from insane, or just moves it slightly further down the level so that the player can get ready, instead of: rape, having to hear that "ass off" dialogue over 80 times (I know it word for word!) and rage quitting to play horde/versus.
Guys if u have a person who plays on casual and u play on insane you still get credited wit beating the act on insane. So all u have to do is have the casual player do all the work:)
Okay so guys after 90 tries I was able to come up with a plan to beat that gunker mofo as soon as you land off the zip line. First thing you want to do is wait for the gunker to charge his shot as soon as you land. When he launches it, immediately roll over to the right ( direction in which you have to proceed ) and then take cover behind the car for a split second because then he will use his arm to attack. Roll out again and take cover behind the wooden cover, spot the gunker for your allies
hey it can work. its just like a 1 and 37 chance it will work. and if u can make it to cover. do not shoot at all. or he will kill you. just let baird get him. it worked for me. and also seemed to work better if u just dont shoot at all while on the zipline

Before you land, rotate the camera away from the Gunker. I dont know why but it took me 20 deaths before I found that out. This way when you land you can dive+run+dive in FRONT OF YOU. On my second dive, I automatically did the slide+cover along the railway behind that wall on the right. Also, I just want to point out that you can actually go Gun ho against that Gunker and dodge his strikes left and right behind the car on his right. I killed him once but died. You need a boomer too lol.
THE TRICK TO AVOIDING INSTANT DEATH WITH THE ZIPLINE GRUNKER:
Once you hit ground after letting go of the zip line, run straight for the end of the barricade (guard rail) to the right of your landing. You'll be out of range of his immediate fire radius and despite being close to death for a few seconds - you'll be able to recover in safety :)
@koldvostvo trust me, it took a couple tries but it works, go there right off the bat and try and position your self so you cant see the gunker. a useful phrase in GoW3 is "out of sight out of mind" in gears it means most of the time if the enemies cant see you they don't bother with you. so if you cant see the gunker. it cant see you and then you can just leave it up to the computer to take it down and take the damage. good luck!

Not sure if you're playing this on insane that gunker hit you well enough to kill you on insane I would think but that's for the vid anyway. The only advice I can give anyone looking for help is DON'T DON'T run as soon as you get off the zip line wait 1 second for the gunker to charge that glowing arm-snot bubble then roll/run to whatever cover you chose. Ok, I found a pretty good way to do it. When your on the zip line "spot" the gunker, your team target it and help direct fire away from you a little. Then run to the wooden crates on the left, after he hits the crates with his "gunk" run to the steel wall in the middle and take cover. Now feel free to vent your frustration on that bitch. It didn't work every time, but I managed to get to at least the crates most times, it is the long run to the metal barricade that kills your most....

When you land move to the cover on your left and move up to the cars a few steps in front of you to avoid the first shot. Now move back the way you just came in cover to avoid the stretchy arm thing. Now unleash all your grenades and your boom shot with blind fire while moving to dodge the arm and hope an ally does not get gunked killing you with the splash. It requires some luck but I think this minimizes how much it takes.
finally did it...marked the gunker, but didn't shoot it. As soon as I landed I rolled and slid as far up the rail as possible. Grenades and blindfire killed it. It only took me an hour...
Found a good trick to it, once you land, pretty much do a 180 degree turn and you'll see like a dumpster or big metal box, hide behind that as the gunker will aim and hit the box, not anywhere around it and you'll be grand! hope that helps!

ok guys, tip that I picked up on, once you land, run to the left and hide behind the burnt out car, once he fired his ball, then run to the barrier at the back, right at the back end of the barrier amongst the debris, there are some frags, use them.
Uncharted gives NOTHING a run for it's money, hell it doesn't even give killzone a run for it's money. Uncharted 2 is the worst game I have played in a long long time, terrible average combat terrible casual platforming, the only thing it has going for it is graphics but those aren't what makes a game anyway.
I'm just wondering does your "let the team do the work strategy" work when playing arcade? when doing the campaign i always play arcade. to try and get the onyx medal for the serious 3.0 achievement and because i like arcade just to see how well / usually not i'm doing. I've been playing insane on both multiplayer and by myself and i find this the only game were i enjoy playing the hardest difficulty even when i die .... allot.
This guide is trash, even if you manage to somehow get to where he is sitting, the Gunker still just hits around that "cover" and kills you in one hit.
@IIIpwnzyIII well its also luck and what ur situation is. There isnt a guide that shows a perfect way of doing things. Yea, i get hit around that thing too a cuple of times, but jus keep trying and also dont let the gunker know ur there too often

Everyone, I found something to make the first part of this a little easier. DO NOT SHOOT the giant lambent (not the first one) on the bridge while ziplining down. If you do shoot it, it draws attention, and he will target you. If you don't shoot him, there's a chance that he will target your teammates. That will give you a chance to get to cover. This worked for me the first time I did it. I hope it helps someone else.

I looked at the walk-through for kill zone two and the drink along for kill zone three and I do not understand the reason why Mr. Tarr has vile hatred for the franchise as a whole. The franchise passes the eye test as in it looks really good. It looks fun but SO many people argue with me and tell me that Halo is much better then Kill zone. @huggybear615 i had an xbox & sold it for a ps3. killzone caught my attention, im a graphics guy. its a terrible game, the controls are awkward but i got used to them. the aiming is terrbile, its either too fast or too slow. i kept the ps3 for a few months then sold it & got an xbox again. now im playing gears 3.
Jon in KZ2 complained a lot about the controls, as did a HUGE following, they were very sludgy and it seemed like they tried to give it a "weighted" feel. It was horrible and people didn't like it for Multi or single. Also granted its a gorgeous game, it does set a bar for one of the top "brown and bloom" games, which can get very plain fast, gears does it as well. To be honest i think he has a little more hate then most do so you have to take his opinion with a grain of salt.
Apprentices used to be expected to hold the candle so that more experienced workmen were able to see what they were doing. Someone unable even to do that would be of low status indeed.

On the bottom left corner there is a container you can hide behind where he can't hit you. Just camp / spam frags until the gunker dies

finally did it...marked the gunker, but didn't shoot it. As soon as I landed I rolled and slid as far up the rail as possible. Grenades and blindfire killed it. It only took me an hour...

The starting Gunker "always" aim for the right spot where u normally take cover, go behind that cover by turning from the left.

Found a good trick to it, once you land, pretty much do a 180 degree turn and you'll see like a dumpster or big metal box, hide behind that as the gunker will aim and hit the box, not anywhere around it and you'll be grand! hope that helps!

ok guys, tip that I picked up on, once you land, run to the left and hide behind the burnt out car, once he fired his ball, then run to the barrier at the back, right at the back end of the barrier amongst the debris, there are some frags, use them.

Uncharted gives NOTHING a run for it's money, hell it doesn't even give killzone a run for it's money. Uncharted 2 is the worst game I have played in a long long time, terrible average combat terrible casual platforming, the only thing it has going for it is graphics but those aren't what makes a game anyway.

I'm just wondering does your "let the team do the work strategy" work when playing arcade? when doing the campaign i always play arcade. to try and get the onyx medal for the serious 3.0 achievement and because i like arcade just to see how well / usually not i'm doing. I've been playing insane on both multiplayer and by myself and i find this the only game were i enjoy playing the hardest difficulty even when i die .... allot.

This guide is trash, even if you manage to somehow get to where he is sitting, the Gunker still just hits around that "cover" and kills you in one hit.

Everyone, I found something to make the first part of this a little easier. DO NOT SHOOT the giant lambent (not the first one) on the bridge while ziplining down. If you do shoot it, it draws attention, and he will target you. If you don't shoot him, there's a chance that he will target your teammates. That will give you a chance to get to cover. This worked for me the first time I did it. I hope it helps someone else.

I looked at the walk-through for kill zone two and the drink along for kill zone three and I do not understand the reason why Mr. Tarr has vile hatred for the franchise as a whole. The franchise passes the eye test as in it looks really good. It looks fun but SO many people argue with me and tell me that Halo is much better then Kill zone. When I look at both I think both games are closely similar in terms of game play. Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thank you for reading.

@huggybear615 i had an xbox & sold it for a ps3. killzone caught my attention, im a graphics guy. its a terrible game, the controls are awkward but i got used to them. the aiming is terrbile, its either too fast or too slow. i kept the ps3 for a few months then sold it & got an xbox again. now im playing gears 3.

Jon in KZ2 complained a lot about the controls, as did a HUGE following, they were very sludgy and it seemed like they tried to give it a "weighted" feel. It was horrible and people didn't like it for Multi or single. Also granted its a gorgeous game, it does set a bar for one of the top "brown and bloom" games, which can get very plain fast, gears does it as well. To be honest i think he has a little more hate then most do so you have to take his opinion with a grain of salt.
