I remember getting to my next level of spells as my DE necromancer and was so excited to get a new pet. Before buying my spells, I went up to the guildmaster to train the research skill and hit the auto-attack button by accident... LOADING PLEASE WAIT... You have lost a level! You are now level 15. I had previously binded in the Ocean of Tears too.
I think i used to play this game between 2004-2006. I had a dark elf sk lvl 49. every chance i got i used to run by here...For all i know, i may end up coming back soon to play it again.
In addition to Project 1999 which will be up to Velious, there is Project Everquest (PEQ) which is similar but is past Velious (currently at GoD) and will continue working up.

I played it all of the time... then I got EQ2, loved it! Then I got WoW... and have regretted my decision to leave Norrath behind me. I will leave Azeroth and return home to my Iksar where I belong! I shall!
well if u guys are like me feel their heart bleed for old days of eq i have a good new for ya you need to try this free server of everquest in on Eqemu do a serch on google about eq project1999 and come play in this server its just like they old days and there will be 2 expantion released kunark and velious and then no more its the classic Goodies of eq my nam is eldormanix in game let me know if you join so then i know that my message worked :) thx
Ah the Necromancers guild. I remember reading a book that said I should practice my spells as often as I could. So I started practicing them and ended up casting an AoE strength drain right next to the guild master who.. was not happy.
Neriak was awesome. I use to farm the Troll in the barkeep, lol sigh. Then we'd raid Surefalls and the two Bards? Or Rangers? That sat by the fire. So yeah the return was very welcoming.

Ahh I love that city spent many a day as a lower level just running around. The dancing girls in third gate and the secret passageway. Such fun.

I remember being able to get my gnome to high enough faction to be able to roam around freely. That was fun. Old models were way better.
