I'm going to miss Micheal Anthony. He is a underrated Bass player, and his backing vocals was the sound of Van Halen for years. I am sure that Wolfgang cannot hold his own against Micheal in the Vocals area. Also he was pretty nice guy. After shows Eddie and the others would walk off backstage, but he would hang around and shake hands, and sign autographs.
Mike was a pretty versatile bass player, listen to his bass solo on the Live Right Here Right Now CD set, the guy has serious chops. Though Wolfgang isn't bad, he's no Mike. Nonetheless I'll be there the 28th in Houston.
So glad DLR is back. 99% of the Van Hagar era songs make me embarrassed to call myself a Van Halen fan. I don't know of a DLR era song I didn't like. At least DLR brings a little more flair then that fat has-been in the cowboy hat.

Hey I know this is a little late in responding haha. But I prefer the Diamond Dave years just because they freakin rocked WAY harder than they did with Sammy. Its just my opinion. Do you agree that their music kind of changed when Sammy got in the band? I'm not blaming Sammy for it. I just think they were growing musically and some people liked it better, some people didn't. Their music started "maturing", which isn't always the best thing. I prefer the raw rocking days with Dave.

We just went to see Van Halen last night in Portland, OR and they rocked! I grew up on their music but never had a chance to see them in concert. This was a once in a lifetime experience that I am glad to have enjoyed. Looking at this tour announcement video is sad because it is obvious that Ed is drunk. He played awesome last night and seemed clean & sober. Wolfie was very cool and Dave sounded as good as in the 1980's.
They're OK now, I'm going to see them in A.C. in March. I would have no doubt they rock if they didn't kick out Mike. They said they're playing like they were when they were what made Van Halen, but is Mike there?

Just got back from my flight from Toronto. Saw them on Friday (12th October), and it was fucking golden, man. Diamond Dave is the only one, man. Wolfgang did a fantastic job on the bass. he was a little bit stiff on the first few shows, but he really loosened up for the friday venue. It was probably the best night of my life.
I saw them on the Second night in Philly and it was awesome ,Way better than any other tour I've seen them on .Very tight ,Very Loud and no screw ups.Nice show no BS.
I saw them Oct 1 in Philly and they rocked their asses off. It was an AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME SHOW. Oh and i think i can still hear a little bit but i'm not sure. Damn that was a loud show!

We just went to see Van Halen last night in Portland, OR and they rocked! I grew up on their music but never had a chance to see them in concert. This was a once in a lifetime experience that I am glad to have enjoyed. Looking at this tour announcement video is sad because it is obvious that Ed is drunk. He played awesome last night and seemed clean & sober. Wolfie was very cool and Dave sounded as good as in the 1980's.

Just got back from my flight from Toronto. Saw them on Friday (12th October), and it was fucking golden, man. Diamond Dave is the only one, man. Wolfgang did a fantastic job on the bass. he was a little bit stiff on the first few shows, but he really loosened up for the friday venue. It was probably the best night of my life.

I saw them on the Second night in Philly and it was awesome ,Way better than any other tour I've seen them on .Very tight ,Very Loud and no screw ups.Nice show no BS.
