terry Jones does have a right to protest and voice his opinion. But remember that freedom of speech is also limited. You cant go around parading and disreaspecting other religions. You cant burn a book that over 1.5 billion people believe in and read to get what you or other Americans want. That is against the constitution. May PEACE reign over this Earth, and not the Earth bE turned to pieces

I also think the issue is, is that many Americans who may not have been around very many American Muslims may have a monolithic view of American Muslims. American Muslims are a very diverse people, there are many American Muslim women who do not even wear the hijab and if you saw them walking down the street you wouldn't even know they were Muslim. But yes they are practicing Muslims too.

I have been fortunate to grow up in California around lots of Muslims, and there is never been a problem with anything ever. When the Taliban first I appeared, I was completely shocked that barbarian monsters like them would call themselves Muslims. It was something I never even remotely thought could happen. I think that religious extremism needs to be fully condemned when it occurs and that ANY religious leader who becomes political should be stripped of their title as a religious leader.

1. There is never an excuse for killing anyone. One of sound mind can never be provoked to murder anyone. Accusing Terry Jones of doing so is just plain silly and ignorant. Terry Jones has a right to demonstrate whether you like it or not. We have something here called freedom of speech. You don't have to like it but you have to respect it. This is not the Middle East. Is this Imam for real?? In the Let It Rip debate April 21, 2011, he defended Islam saying that "there are also radical christians" and referred to Timothy McVey and Terry Jones as examples.

Timothy McVay had no religious motive for his killings at all. In fact he claimed that "science was his religion" and that he was an "agnostic".

Terry Jones might be a christian radicalist. But he burns paper. Compare this "crime" to beheading, stoning and burning of HUMANS condoned by muslim radicalists..

You are missing the point. Timothy McVeigh was a Christian, by the standard you are applying is the double standard he spoke about. Terry Jones burned their holy scripture knowing that the radical Muslims would retaliate and they did.
