Actually, I was surprised you didn't use my strat there, because it seems easy to do... Just start sliding after mting in the water, and after a few tries you might get a good angle to continue the lap.
I could understand what you meant about prb, but I haven't performed a full lap yet. I am able to prb half of the water part consistantly if I go by the left of the zipper (might record a video one of these days); nevertheless, I think that prbing from the right of the zipper requires a bit of luck, which is the thing I hate the most on MKDS (cf. jumps on RR or DH xD).
