it was all hand drawn frame by frame in sections. (yeah it was the hard long way) if I wer to do it now. I would use particle illusion or adobe after effects

what else would i use? they never made other types of androids 17 & 18 but they did make a model kit 16 which i plan to get. I dont really like the hybrids (vegeta),,they are too small and wouldnt go in scale unless i distorted the image to make him appear bigger.but when it comes to fighting one reguler image and overlaying a standerd,it gets pretty complicated.

a good camera-(dont use a webcam unless its top notch) lots of lights.good editing software (dont use crappy win movie maker) lots of patience,take LOTS of pics the more the better. Adobe or some kind of photo editor for the arua effects (I drew mine by hand) and make sure you speed up the frames.you want each pic on the screen for no longer than 4 milliseconds.

I try to keep all my stop motions at 2-4 milliseconds.dbz is a little different though.I dont do the motions of the puch before contact,,just the action of the punch making contact(in the cartoon they fight so fast anyway) I thought i could get away with cheating lol..plus drawing the auras and speeding that up is a bitch to..the aura was supposed to move faster,but i think somewhere I messed up and had a repeat frame so it only looks like 5 milliseconds----oops..I totally need to re-do this vid

Do you check your camera's white balance before shooting? I noticed the color flicker and that could be the cause. Nice vid.

Are you talking about 00:59-1:01 ???? yeah its been a real bitch lately,,ESPECIALLY when im trying to do green screen fx.a couple frames its neon green and then the next its a real PALE green =( I dont think the nikkon coolpix 6 megapixel was intended for stop motion lol.For Christmas im gonna pick up the new fuji s2000HD 10 megapixel srl-like.ahh drool..But you might have something there,I never check the white balance,,I kinda just make sure I turn on the macro settings and shoot.

Yeah, that's the spot. If you take your white balance off auto, you can have the clear and not yellowish picture that shows up on Android 16. Keep the vids going :)

k,thanks I will definitly look into that.I know my camera has all these other settings to,like beach scene,florecent,backlight,you know,,,crap like that. I was just hoping I could trust modern technology enough that I could just put it on auto and everything would be fine as long as I had a crap load of lights on my subjects,,but,I guess not lol.=P

I definitely like the cutting away to the real episode, with all your little guys in the same position lol, but i think that would seem more effective in the actual fighting. seemed kinda lame-ish from this point.

just do a star wars and start in the middle lol.

The rest is coming,I just wanted to show everybody what I had so far and that I intended to re-make the whole episode with action figures.These things take time,and I have many other projects going on.I kinda wanna take a break from dbz and X-men and get to vintage tmnt before finishing this. I plan on doing a Star Wars peice to but that might not be till mid next year.
