Hi Steve ,i think you could realy use any guitar for punk mate,i think the amps more important,and its all down to money ,those who have and those that have not!!! i would love one of those Gibson steve jones guitars but fuck me there way over the top money wise(im just green wae envy!!!) I think they should have made a Ephiphone version for all us poor folks!!

Very good assessment. I just bought one for my 15 year old, who is already playing in two punk bands. Chip off the ole block... poor kid. In any case, he facking loves it. Plays great, sounds great, no issues. I quite like it as well, particularly as it was 500 bucks cheaper than the Pawn Shop Series he'd been pitching a tent for since June. I'm stunned that this was made in China... I predict a major paradigm shift m'lads.

Definately a great guitar for shoegazing stuff. The triple humbucker has a bright fuzzy cut to it that would do MBV Slowdive etc very well.

@ocbar123 Big frets and skinny neck make this a very playable guitar for all sorts of music, the trem would however be a slight drawback for metal as it is a strat style unit rather than a divebombing machine.

But I made tried this guitar by a pro and he said to me maid about it lutherie five very different sounds and all useful a lot. You can find the the wiring diagram for the pickups off Anderton's. It's basically a squashed HSS setup.
