Pinoy writers have different styles and we don't necessary have to copy US or Euro styles. I started by copying those NY wildstyles but since I"m a Filipino writer, I fused Filipino culture and graf. Now I do my pieces with Alibata letters. But I still use the English alphabet when I bomb.
Some writers have nice letter forms such as Bonz, Rank, Sway-1, Ripe-1, Dope and so on
ALL styles came from NY.. there wouldnt be style or piecing, period if it weren't for NY. learn the history, stay true to the roots of this shit and enrich your style bro.
True that most lettering styles originated from NY. But the thing is I'm not from NY, I'm from Manila. So what we did is fuse Filipino elements and NY style but in a different way. Note that when I piece I rarely use English letters these days. I more paint with alibata letters, something uniquely Filipino. It gives you an identity in graf and not copy the typical NY wild-styles. If you want to check it out, visit my site.
me I do legal burners... im a newbie or shud i say a Toy insside tha game,.... but i make them people amazed by my pieces! though im not "UP" yet... I don't care... for the thrill seekers,,,, i understand... but im more of an artist myself... -BASS1-
