  • This is the stuff that we all watched when we were younger and thought, ' man what a sap'. I now play the organ after years of playing rock guitar. I used to crank up my Marshall amplifier stack and shake the walls and make fun of people who liked Lawrence Welk. Still, if you are over 40 you'll remember the 70's as being a very musically diversified time even though we only had 4 TV stations. On Johnny Carson you'd see Dionne Warwick and on the Tomorrow Show see Ted Nugent. It's all good now LOL

  • Great video. I first saw this song performed this past Thanksgiving on television. Jimmy Roberts had a great voice. Welk is living on with a few of the younger generation such as myself, Im 27. While Iike rock and roll music and a lot of other more modern music, there is just something so wholesome about this era of music and television that i believe should have a place in our society today.

  • @Matnavox Thank you for your thoughful comment. Of course you are right. This music should be the main-stream music for all Americans. (Of course I'm not biased you see!) Charlie

  • Jimmy Roberts > Tom Netherton

  • Jimmy Roberts was a very good singer! I like this video a lot :)

  • @applepiegwendy Thanks for watching and thanks a lot for your comment.
