Hey Edwin, thanks for the comment. In answer to your question, I believe there is a big difference between suffering from persecution and suffering from disease/sickness. When we follow Jesus, we usually have to deal with suffering from persecution. Jesus himself did so, as we see in the example you gave. I believe He was saying that he didn't feel like being beat up, but he was willing to go through it to pay the price for us, so that we don't have to be under the curse of sin OR sickness. :)

@AllorNothingforHim its not god's will for us to be unhealthy. ill health comes from satan, its not godly. thats why the bible says, jesus took our illnesses and bore our diseases
