Thank you so much for putting this online. This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I burned through two VHScopies & twoVCR's. I think this was Disney's first feminist movie; the women get involved in the action. The princess marries the commoner, instead of the other way around: Followed closely by Pocahontas(marriage to John Rolfe, thought it should have been John Smith or at least Disney's version of Smith-what can I say I'm stuck in the past : ), then Rapunzel, she marries a theif.
@swissbob15 Mulan was released 1998, after Aladdin and Pocahontas, but yes, you are right it is in the feminist catagory, and it was my mistake, I remembered Mulan after I had already clicked the post button and my computer was being mean that day for some reason and it wouldn't let me make another post. : )
Wait if he could change that law the entire time why did they need to make this movie? He could have changed it once he realised that Jasmine would never pick a suitor.
@mistressofthewicket Come on man, take out the whole "changing the law" thing too early and most of the plot goes splat, like Jafar and Iago behind the palace door. ; )
@TheEventMaker Oh, sweetie, this movie was made waaaaaaaay before Poke'mon's time. Did you ever think that maybe Poke'mon jacked it off Disney? : s....
sho cute :)

@ShakespeareIsMyMuse What about Mulan?? in my opinion that was the most feminist movie, more than pocaahonatas or aladdin.

-Dodger taught me that you shouldn’t let everyday worries weigh you down
-Basil of Baker Street taught me that NO one is more clever than YOU
-Bernard and Bianca taught me that no matter your size, personality or whatever, let NOTHING stop you from making a difference
-Marahute taught me to let my imagination and spirit soar
-And so much more…
And what has the new Disney taught us? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! Click “Like” if you agree. LONG LIVE OLD SCHOOL DISNEY!!!!
