That pass wasn't any more risky than backing the car off the trailer to begin with. Just getting out of bed in the morning you assume certain risks.
ouch! that is the last turn before the straight too. I have not seen this happen before... Thats how the pass is made on that first turn after the main straight, normally cars passing on the right try to press you to the left.
People are being way too harsh on the driver. She saw a chance to pass and went for it. You have to take a little risk, or you'll never pass anyone. The fact that she got squeeze by other cars is just a "racing incident". Sh_t happens.
I didn't see the fourth car on the right, well I'm glad the driver is ok, cars can be fixed, lessons learned. I agree, a risky pass, maybe should have stayed back behind the middle car drafting, then attempt to pass after going by the TR6.
I know the TR6 that was on the left of this sandwich. In his In-car video he waves her by....so its definitely not his fault for staying at the side of the track

Well, having many years of racing experience at the track, I know, depending on the experience of the driver they have different rules but even at the highest tier you don't attempt passes like that. Even if the other driver should have moved but didn't, you don't attempt the pass until the way is clear before you pass.
In this video the opening was not wide enough and she attempted to force her way through it. So yes, others made mistakes but attemping that pass was wrong.

It's NOT about have a clear path before attempting to pass, it's about anticipating where other cars will be when you get there. That's the difference between racing and driving fast.
In this case, a restart of a highly competitive series, if that hole had stayed open a second longer (as it easily could/should have) you'd all be saying "great move".

Just about everyone. It's plenty wide for three SRFs, but maybe not for 3 SRFs plus one Triumph.
Heck, Spec Miatas go five wide at Summit Point.

Agreed. If you look at the video from the driver from behind, you clearly see SHE could not pass but she did.
