Requiring that someone let the government know that they've bought a gun isn't the same thing as "restricting" or taking away their right to own the gun. I don't understand how you get from A to B. There is non restricted, restricted, and prohibited. The government has already outlawed the majority of firearms that sport shooters and average people would have fun with, such as anything which can have a full auto capability. What is next? the comment about cutting social programs is only half true. the cuts were made to programs that were not using the money well and were wasting it, however that money was then transfered to other programs that were successful, popular and using there money correctly. The only difference I can see is that the CPC's ads are being used when an election isn't even happening, while the LPC's ads were used during an election campaign. I think both the LPC and CPC has some explaing to do, and I just hope that Mr.Dion cleans house in the Liberals, and Harper focuses on what he does best: push ideas!
