  • That is so cool how did you build that?

  • how much hp does it give

  • Brilliant using the spring to keep a good seal.

  • does this thing use heat to run

  • build it bigger and more powerful, put a electric generator on it and you got a way to power your home.

  • exelent work . i like dats very much

  • Hi you sell? how much cost Thanks.

  • are u willing to sell this engine and if you are please tell me the price

  • it moves because there is a valve face in the silver metal box( can't see it) which makes it have an intake/out change

  • he how did u make the piston can u show thw parts of the pison.

  • wow please tell me where to get the plans ect thanks

  • where did you get the plans? i'm making the same one at my schools machine shop class

  • how does this work?

  • very cool! Where would one find the barstock to make one of those, Lowes, a model store?

  • 16mmDJ - I sometimes find bar stock at flea markets.

  • How many inch pounds can this motor produce and how many psi does it take to get there

  • was it a complex thing to construct or quite simple. I'm thinking about attempting something like that my self

  • Probably the simplest engine I've ever built, but I've made a number of engines including four stroke gasoline engines, so I guess it's all relative. It only has about a dozen parts. There are prints for similar engines to be found on the web.

  • That's really neat. Good crank counterbalance.

Looked like 3000 rpm or so.

  • how is that a steam engine

i think its run by compressed air

i dont see any steam, fire stuff that, unless you had an external boiler, but then you would have a exhaust

  • It will run on steam, and I built a boiler for it, too. I just ran it here on compressed air for convenience.

  • @bestSVMS and it does have an exhaust.

  • whats the fuel?

  • haha oh wow

  • air

  • you never know.

there could be a teakettle out of frame.

  • can't see any steam chimney for the steam :S

  • any chance some1 could give me a quick explanation or how to make it?

  • Can one of those things be connected to four wheels and a car chassis? Petrol is getting expensive .. heh.

  • You'd need a really small tush to get around with that motor. lol

  • how did you make that i want one

also whats powering it what is at the other end of that tube?

  • It's all fast and stuff.

  • made it yourself. nice.

  • i made one like that in my machine trades class. Mine bigger though :)

  • I can't stop watching this cute yet genious engine :D

Is there any chanse that i can get a blueprint of it ? :)

  • Great job. I made the same one and scaled it up. I have it on the display shelf at work and the customers always ask to see it run. I always wanted to make a second cylinder and crank on the opposite side if the pillar but i never have the time.

  • hello ,would you give me few tips how you made that one ,i really want to create one my self ,i am not skillful but i really want to make one badly :) every advice is more than welcome :):)

  • Excelent work Dad, did you make everything on the engine, (Spring, nuts)

  • Not the spring. Found it in my scrap box.

  • awsome job. im looking to build one like this for my college project. were did yu get the plans from?? thanks

  • Very nice... How many HP do you think there would be on something like that? My guess is something like .1

  • Well, I'm just guessing too, but I'd think more like .005

Not much, in any case :)

  • Wow this is awesome!

  • wot RPM can it get to?

  • wots it rev 2?

  • What??

  • im thinking somwere from 200 to 3000rpm.. just an estimate but.......

  • must be a good couple hundred rpm easily.

  • I MUST MAKE IT...how

  • do you have any plans for that.... i'd be interested in something like that... it's sad how people forget about how important steam used to be

  • perpetum mobile

  • The bird sounds like a Robin.

  • wow cool, lets see it drive a little car or somthing now. Hmm rc steam car...

  • How about that! Those birds are a nice touch ;)

I had to turn it up a bit to catch them.

Love these little steam engines. Keep'em coming.

  • the birds in background add to it!
