so that s how it feels sometimes in the right constellationa at the right time a beautiful moment. Sad for the audience the y split up so quickly --> to play base with oasis must feel the same like fulminantly keeping a burning down house .alive Waht a shame they could not go any steps further in their time. It s that wallowing feeling of teh early ninetees young boys vision of a reborn something going on in europe full of fresh taste hope and lot of attitude. It maes me innocent again.
@witness1ish Was being a little cheeky in that they're my band ;) I'm the guitar player and I'm a HUUUUUUGE Ride fan :) No albums yet, we're still plugging away trying to get a record deal here in the UK. Gonna' be cutting an ep soon in the next month or so which'll be free to download! Cheers :)
It was only released on an EP is why you've never heard it. Today Forever (the EP's name) is widely considered to be the best British EP since William, it was Really Nothing by the Smiths.
Thanks for putting this up. This is such a great song and I'm glad someone out there has kept it alive for both diehards like me and others who have the fortune of discovering Ride for the first time.
It must be weird to be the frontman/guitarist/songwriter of a brilliant band and then just to jack it in to play bass on somebody else's (inferior) songs just for the cash. How does Andy Bell look at himself in the mirror?
I think the band's real charm wasn't in Andy Bell. I think Mark Gardener was a vastly superior song writer and had an equally pretty voice. If you've listen to their last two albums, and if indeed you have I'm sorry about the torture you must have gone through, Gardener's songs are far more put together than Bell's.
