Thank you so much for the Tecumseh quote. I needed to read that right now. I was on my favorite site with Flute music playing as I read. The things some will post merely for shock value!!!
When I was introduced to Carlos Nakai's beautiful, haunting melodies, I did not miss the opportunity to listen to him when he had a concert in Austin, Texas.
I attended a live performance of Winds of Devotion in Tucson a few years ago. It was truly a deep spiritual experience. I was filled with an overwhelming sense of peace and love.
Anti-anxiety medications are so unnecessary when music like this is out there. The body is the ultimate machine and given the right aesthetic environment can heal from virtually ANY physiological or psychological wound. Thanks for this post.

This piece is from "Winds of Devotion", by Nakai and Khechog. Hauntingly beautiful, imo.

It's always there, whether we think about it or not. It's what we choose to think about is our perception.

My very spirit is moved when I listen to this. It is a motion from within; much deeper than the shell I wear in this lifetime.

Wow, I really needed to read Tecumseh's words.
Thank you, Great Friend, for everything, especially those things I find most unpleasant, the things that teach the most.
Please forgive me for my lack of gratitude.

Tecumseh's words are to the soul as music is to the spirit.

I am not sure whether R. Nakai or Nawang Khechog, the superb former Buddhist monk is playing flute but
the result is compelling, inspirational
and healing.
Thank you.
