I'm kind of weirded out that the white(?) one with the mane is a female. Do you know if that happens in the wild? How about if it happens to regular colored lions? Perhaps it's because it's a lighter one that it's doing that. Huh. I've never heard anything about that before, honestly. Well, not counting your past videos. *blinks*
So Vinkle is post reproductive (menopausal) and she's not fixed, so she's had a change in her hormones that caused her to grow the mane. It's completely individual and doesn't happen often, but it's possible that it could happen in the wild too!
