I personally accept reincarnation as simple fact; I even know who I was in a couple past lives.This has been one of my favorite songs since the first time I heard it, but I've never seen the video. I see there are a few people that aren't too keen on it and I agree. I think it makes a mockery of a song that's meant to be anything but a joke. BUT...I do like the parts when they mock where mocking's justified...can't blame 'em for jumping on the chance to screw with the church...lol!

The Indigo Girls were the first band I ever saw live in concert. I was really little but even then I loved them. I would sing to them with my mum, and now they bring back such sweet memories of childhood and my mum.

Our band covered this beautiful song long ago and far away. Our lead singer could channel this so well it made the hairs on the back of my neck rise up every time we played it. She died not long ago of problems aggravated by bad habits. I hope next time "she gets it right."

for those that wont explain this: they are gay. they are excellent singers, and i absolutely love them. my mom and i listened to them while we were cooking, and i just fell in love with them. we saw them in concert a few years back, and i cant remember a night before that that shed been that happy :D

This is one of my favorite songs. I first heard it when I was in middle school. Now I'm in college and I still love it. I just wish this video was a bit better. It didn't really do the song any justice. I know there was a message tied into the video, but it wasn't delivered very well.

I was originally introduced to the Indigo Girls as a senior in high school. Two dear friends of mine were avid fans and convinced me, one cold winter night, to listen to this song. I was hooked after that. In the 13 years that have passed, we've each gone our separate ways. But every time I hear this song, it reminds me of that friendship and how much I cherished it. Remembering the three of us singing three part harmony on it and the disbelief on everyone's faces is priceless. Thank you.
