對小明星英年早逝的哀歎惋惜，當時人曾撰輓

聯甚多，如：

著名音樂家易劍泉撰 - 五羊舊雨喜相逢，正藝苑征歌，忍聽琴碎香沉， 鳳去幾回思弄玉； 一曲秋墳剛唱罷，便廣陵絕響，怕見鳥啼花落， 我來何處訪龜年。

我喜愛粵曲但認知有限，不知何解，我覺得戰前的歌曲，每當歌者唱­起上來嘅時候，就算當時的音樂樂器可能會單調一些，反而好似仲較­為咬版啲，是何理由，我就唔知。

多謝上載此首動聽歌曲，若非後段失卻，肯定我更會終日收聽，絕不­會停。

每當聽到那段'「聲聲解慰,碧玉情深不可廢.....念嬌心未替­」'就會跟着唱，真係百聽不厭。再者，我很喜歡小曲「醉酒」的旋­律，但「醉酒」大多數都只是佔曲中一小段，未知有無專用此旋律而­作的較長版本歌曲？

真正的中國精緻文化, 49年後巳被本國人消滅殆盡,她最後還是在歌榭內演唱' 秋墳 ' 途中身故, 幸好是在香港, 否則在那瘋狂年代, 在內地必然屍骨無存.

How I miss our elegant Chinese culture of late Qing Dynasty as well as Minquo era in early 20th century. Bring us back our ancient Chinese belongings !!

I still remember my late father used to play 小明星 record and he sometimes sang along too. Just add the last part of the song based on my late father's old hand writting stuff.
