i watched the first anime first, then started reading and found out it wasnt the same story(around when chapter 70 was out) I followed the author's pace till the end and I think it had a better and happier ending, but with sacrifice and tragedy nonetheless...

Brotherhood. Sucked. I hated it. To generalized. The first one, although not following the manga exactly, brought forth more soul, more feeling, more emotion than almost any other anime I have ever watched. This, this show, along with Darker than Black, are always going to be my favorites

If there is one song I'll never forget from the first anime, it would be this one. Although I like the story of Brotherhood better, thus I like the manga better, the music in first anime is definitely a throng on heartstrings. If they had this theme in Brotherhood...it would be absolutely perfect.

this is that one aspect that brotherhood is lacking. that seriousness/drama that the first series had kinda feels lost in the new version. and this song was the anthem to that drama. this is a really beautiful unforgettable melody and it really helped the show become unforgettable as well. its just too bad that bortherhood isn't quite carrying the tradition. :/

It has been confirmed that there will be a sequal to FMA. Whether or not it'll be a continuity of the previous anime series or a remake emphasizing on manga storyline, nobody knows :)
