  • You Are fantastic! Thank You! Cant wait to make these with my wife and she may be able to make them with her students too. Sooo Relaxing and tingly for me!

  • when I do craft like that, I find the tape sticks to everything except the paper, so I end up using super glue... then its a trip to the emergency room with the table cloth stuck to my face or something

  • Man, those are like Rambo scissors or something ...

  • What lovely magic!

  • Nice T-shirt

  • I made mine out of scrapbooking paper, one had got little snowmen, on it, one had skiing penguins with red scarves on, one had silver stars on a dark blue sky, I interleaved those with plain light blue paper. The second one I made were all snowflakes on a dark green bakground interleaved with a plain dark green. Everybody said how nice they looked!

  • Not only is this video relaxing, but this is such a pretty craft! Thank you so much for teaching us how to make these! I made one on Christmas Eve and I love it. <3

  • After the stressful day I had today, it's nice to have this to listen to and to watch again. Maria, I adore your sweet voice, your very sweet and gentle personality, and I adore the way you say "scissors". You are charming and relaxing, tender and soothing. It's stuff like this that makes me realize how blessed I am to have the gift of eyesight, hearing and internet access and a computer. I thank you and I wish you the very Merriest Christmas ever. You truly are a gift dear girl.

  • I made gagillions of these for the yoga studios I work at and for family members and for my own house as well. They look AMAZING when you use beautiful papers from the scrap-booking sections of craft stores like ACMoore and Michaels. Thank you so much for posting this... unbelievably relaxing and a fantastic tutorial!!!

  • I feel stupid for asking, but what does ASMR stand for?

  • @Selah0412 It stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, which is that wonderful, tingly, relaxing, "ahhhhh..." feeling you get when someone whispers softly, gently caresses something, and other things. GentleWhispering is a master of ASMR! :)

  • @pleonic Or maybe, *mistress* of ASMR.

  • i love the way you say "three" and "festive" ....tinglesssss

  • I keep rewatching this video because I want to see how the snowflake is made, but I keep falling asleep halfway through. xD

  • awesome as always! :) Thank you very much!

  • For some reason, I think this video shows even more what a great momma you'd make. lol

  • Have you ever tried this project with Christmas wrapping paper? When you talked about drawing on the paper, that inspired that idea.

  • omg. fantastic

  • WOW! :D

  • This is, quite possibly, my favorite video you've ever done. You teach so well! I'm no good at this sort of thing, but I figured out how to do this with no trouble! :D You're the BEST.

  • Relaxation AND education? Great combination. 29 and a half minutes as well, it's just heaven.

  • :D just finished making 1, looks ace!

  • You should be a teacher, like a kindergarten teacher. The kids I'm sure would love you! Very good video. You're always such a sweetie in all of them. Was really excited to see it was soo long too! :)

  • I like how it looks! :D Thanks, I got it in mind!

  • This is awesome! Thanks for the great idea Maria!

  • yay, I just made my first one. I used the oragami paper that's white on one side and printed on the other, so it looks really cool! However, I also used superglue instead of tape and partially glued it to my PJ pants :0 Oh well, love this video!

  • i love your thumbs for some reason.

  • WOW! Awesome! Entertaining and super-relaxing. :-)

  • Great vid! I should make some of these with my wife for her daycare classroom! =)

  • THis is a really creative video!

  • Oh my Maria..Whenever u speak, your voice automatically soothes me and i feel so relax and sleepy..U don't have to do anything. Just say something and i will get real hypnotize..

  • Gentlewhispering, I love your videos! I have been trying to make some of my own for some time, but I cannot get the sound right. What sort of sound recording device do you have/what sort of camera? I have been trying to record onto my computer with one of those headset microphones, and all of the sounds sound metallic and harsh or too quiet. :( Thanks!!

  • I swear, 50% of her uploads start with the camera pointed at her rack. Not that I'm complaining or anything. >.>

    watch?v=L8vTMtWJIM8

    (IT IS QUITE GRAPHIC!!!!)

  • @YeahIDidSayThat hey hahahaha im not that type of person :P..i mean, i love how u replied to the boobies chaser..Why they love to mention other things than the appropriate one?

  • @nadeeyaafiza Okay, that seems to be working when put in the URL after .com/

Hopefully the boobie chasers will be happy now.

  • Lol, from this angle, the polar bear looks like it's trying to peak over the edge of the table!

  • I love when you say "very well". It makes me smile.

  • you wer like Bob Ross amazing tonight. thank you so much

  • Omggg this one is my favorite thus far..love it...your vids are amazing, thank you!!!

  • This is soooo relaxing.....ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Also you have an amazing voice

  • This is incredible to listen to after a hard day at work.

  • My favourite Number of the Alphabet is Purple.

  • Her voice goes up at the end of every sentence, making it sound like everything she's saying is a question, and her pinky finger is always sticking out.

  • 6 people disliked this tutorial wondering why you weren't speaking louder....

At least 246 people get it!

  • Asmr + learning how to make artsy stuff = so much win I can barely contain myself.

    Braingasms

  • So glad that you put this back up! :)

  • video exelente y con todo el respeto que se merece tiene un pecho hermoso :)

  • This was so nice to watch....I have to admit I was quite relaxed so if I want to be able to MAKE them I'll need to focus instead of letting your voice carry me away lol!!! I think after school tomorrow we'll do these...the boys will love it! We're also going to try out KiwiWhispers paper darts :) Thanks for a great video Maria :))))

  • You got skillz that killz girl!!! Look at that snowflake!!! It's a christmas miracle!!!

  • I hope youre not suggesting deleting this video! This is one of the best across the board. I love that its long. And by the way, your creativity and generosity is appreciated. Youre the best in the whisper/asmr community.

  • Youre very talented :)

  • I may have been the only one afraid of watching this cause I was really hoping you werent going to get a paper cut

  • did anybody else look at her face in the table while she was talking

  • Maria, you're so sweet. Your whole story, your compassion & spirit...you're just an angel. Thanks for the great video, as usual! Merry Christmas to you and those you love :)

  • Woaaahh!!!!! Contextual ASMR FTW! (For the win)

  • would you be able to incorperate the sound of your fingers on the tape more in a video, i think you called it sticky fingers before, that sound is wicked relaxing. thankyou for the great videos

  • That looks amazing !!!! So creative :)

  • Sweet! Another way to delay doing my essay, haha. Very soothing as always Maria :)

  • woooow this is awesome! I immediately made one myself, it looks great, and my roommate is so thrilled, tomorrow we are making a lot of snowflakes! :) thank you for the tutorial, great video! :*

  • I made one of these today after watching it last night! I used origami paper for the colors and because it's already square, but it was too thin and stuck to itself when I was trying to unfold them! It would have been easier if I would have used copy paper like you did haha

  • Amazing for asmr purposes but also really cute to make too, thanks!

  • God dammit! I really want to know how to make these! But was asleep after 6 mins, says the gurl with sleep deprevation.. xoxoxoxoxox

  • Marvelous video Maria. I love the way you teach us this craft slowly step by step & clearly too. You would make the most wonderful grade school teacher ever. All the young kids would love you so much because of your sweet disposition & voice & beauty. :) I would try to go back to school just to have you as my teacher. lol ;) I love your vid beautiful star snowflake & your beautiful voice & hands just mesmerize me. ;) It's a long vid but with you it's magical every second of it. :)) Big Hugs

  • This one had a very Bob Ross quality about it....yes it did

  • Is that a polar bear on your top? Awesome. You always have good fashion sense :)

  • That's beautiful!

  • i just medicated and then saw this :)

  • Wow! So beautiful.

  • Crafting at it's best! Unhurried & soothing. (none of this "here's the one I made earlier" nonsense! Please keep them coming Maria!

  • Never feel sorry about long videos. Really.

  • @MyGoldenKisses hear hear! not long enough IMO.

  • You are amazing. I was listening to another video of yours on Friday and I was going to write to suggest to you to do some origami type things, and magically you made this! Thank you :) I hope you make more similar to these...

  • wow i thought that the paper was actually in that design. i was thinking "my gosh where would i find nice paper like that". i'm in france right now, and i think nailpolish is too expensive here. but I'm gonna try to make taht with all the highlighters I have here :D i'm gonna attempt to make one of those stars to hang in my appartment for the new year :D

  • That was awesome! I just made one myself. It turned out really well. Thank you so much for sharing :) Plus an extremely relaxing video.

....My life wouldn't be the same without you -3 thank U, sweetheart... Maybe it sounds funny/crazy, but you've actually become my daily medication/ meditation..... :-) i'm addictive to you.... (haha, sounds like i'm a crazy woman...) btw, i know U might get many requests, but is it posible to find you on FB? Ok if not... :)

    XXX Anja, DK.

    Happy holidays..

  • Again you did it... Absolutely soothing, calming and wonderfull..... I love your videos... Can't say it enough... ;)

I have a disease, called morbus crohn. (crohns disease) it's pretty bad right now and has been for many years now. And cause of that- i have to take a lot of medication, which does bad things to my body. But watching you, comforts me and helps not take to many painkillers, cuz U make mé fall a sleep during the Day and helps me Fall a sleep at Night... My life wouldn't be the same

  • Maria, you have the most beautiful soothing voice. Thanks for this lovely video.

  • Maria! Actually it was both soothing and useful video. I'm definetely going to make few of those for my home decoration. I've seen them couple of times but I didn't know how were they made. Thanks for sharing!

If you are crafty and artistic person and you know other projects please, make more videos like this one. They will still be soothing! It's the matter of your voice, not the subject of speaking. You could even read Yellow Pages to us, and I bet most of us would be totaly relaxed :-)

  • Hello Maria! :) I was just wondering if you already had a sleep hypnosis video? Or a sleep relaxation video? I've seen your other one that's similar but it isn't very long. If you don't have one, could you please make one? I LOVE your videos, but most of them are visual, and i'd like to close my eyes and just listen to your voice. Do you know what I mean? Well anyway, I hope you have a Happy Holiday and a Wonderful New Years! :) <3

  • :D! We made these in Middleschool art class! I know now how to make them again!

  • @kakashino8 hehe.. well go on an make one its so much fun. ;))

  • As soon as I saw this video I made one of these with my children, thank you! :)

  • How big is the paper that you're using? Would like to try this with my kid.

  • @slycon79 ummm its a regular sized copy paper. :) If you have any squared paper its even better. :)

  • @GentleWhispering I think the question is if it's a A4 A3 or similiar size. Makes it easier to buy the correct size :)

    Love your videos <3

  • wow if only I had the patience, that was amazing

  • I love those crafting vids!

  • I love this video! I got very relaxed and sleepy watching it, and I learned how to make a beautiful ornament! Once again, thank you Maria for your amazing videos! :D

  • thx so much for this video. love your channel

  • I love how you always have your nails done! It makes your vids so pleasant to watch. Thank you!

  • Hello Gentle, I would like to make a request. I was wondering if you could do a Christmas gift guide video for all of us who are lost and wait till the last minute. You look like the kind and thoughtful person that is done with her Christmas shopping in February. Please consider it, thanks.

  • OMG I love this!! My mind was all a whirl thinking of the different papers I have and can use to make these. I'm going to make two first thing in the morning to go along side a bulletin board I am decorating in the school library where I work.

I would suggest to anyone who is having a child do the decorating that the drawing is done before cutting. An older kid might be able to design it after the cutting but a little one might have difficulty not tearing the paper.

    Thank you, Maria!

  • @debbieomi Awwww.. I thinnk its a great idea. and yeah I think drawing before taping and cutting sounds a bit better. hehe.. I guess I dont look for easy ways out haha.. :))

  • You are so ridiculously creative....I love it! I always look forward to your videos Maria!

  • this is a beautiful piece! i cant wait to try it!

  • thank u Gil lobe the vid and you nails look great

  • ahh! i LOVE these snowflakes. one of my coworkers made a whole bunch to decorate our building last year and i remember being in awe. love the video maria! :)

  • @ashleypatricia29 hey I do the same! :D Wait! Are you my coworker by any chance :O just joking ! ;D

  • Its so lovely, both, the star and you:) /Anna

  • why would you apologize for long videos! !

    the longer the better!

  • Two weeks to go until it's Christmas and you give us a present in advance, a half-hour video including CRAFTING. <3 !! I've done those snowflakes too, I made them for our Christmas-party last year and everybody thought they were really tricky to make... haha. Thank you G.W., thank you Maria, have a nice advent or just a really nice sunday :)

  • I love the fact that whenever I watch your videos, there are always 301 views. Coincidence? I think not.

  • @ebm535353 HAHA!! I noticed that too.. lol

  • You haven't made a bad video yet. And I think there are over 10,000 people that would agree with me.

  • @ThePowerWithinMe Aww.. you mister!!! You I have to thank in a private manner :D which I will DO a bit later!! Sorry I cant seem to find enough time to express my full gratitute to you my friend!! So you just wait for it, its coming BUHAHAHA!! :D

  • You are a lady Bob Ross. Your voice is, not your hair. Watching this, all I could think was "happy little snowflakes". Love it. Thank you!

  • You should do a cooking tutorial!

  • @SunTannedCharms I sure will. thank you. :)

  • the first video i ever watched of yours was the origami star one, and I had completely forgotten you were the one that made it til just now

  • @ayahector awww.. hehe. that was one kickass star.. ;)

  • 10,000 plus fans..... that says more than anyone's words. YouTube needs more people like you.... the world needs more people like you. I'm glad I found your channel.

  • Someone needs to invent a button on YT where when we see a negative comment from anyone rather that feeding them with a response we just click ignore and from that moment on we never see a post by them again.... and there would be a word of warning to all who do respond to them that by doing so you would automatically ignored along with them.

Maybe within a week all the negative people and comments would just be wiped off the face of this planet.

GentleWhispering keep up the great job you do.

  • Great video and star. :)

    Sleeeeeeeeepy~ ...zzzzzzzzzz
