You forgot to mention the crappy customisation that took a step back from even the DS version of Lego Star Wars II.

You also omitted the fact that the flight missions are repetitive and dull, especially the ones featuring the Repubilc Gunship.

Another problem I had with this game is the fact that characters go from Stationary -> Full Speed with no middle ground. Not good for accurate positioning.

The overworld HUB is mind-numbing, both in design and the scarcity of other characters.

How would there be long loading times for a Cart?? The cart has lightning fast loading times due to no spinning disk and what not. The game just reads the data off the ram in the cart.

I already finished all the missions. I only need to collect the red bricks and other stuff and the game never freezed for me. Also, the loading screens are really quick in my 3DS and I personally recommend to buy this game.

just so people know, a LOT of people have had success by turning off wifi when playing this game. this "fixes" the freezing problem. hope it helps everyone. apparantly works for other games..

I feel like posting I had none of the problems and glitches Kwing had, but had plenty of my own. Studs wold be ungrabbable or even get outside the invisable barrers, Ive even had a glitch where the droids wouldnt move and be and standing the entire time during cutscenes. Even if they arent as bad as Kwing had, it still must be noted.

But at the end of the 3ds version of this game, it does hint at Anakin becoming Vader, where he has to pick between a red cupcake(sith) and a blue cupcake(jedi) with Yoda and Palpatine trying to get him to pick their color, but I dont think that hints anything, but it was a good laugh.

How long is the game. I find it so annoying how short DS games are at the moment. i just bought a 3ds, and im still deliberating which games to buy, for me this looks to be quite high up the list, but if it lasts all of 5 minutes, ill probably wait tuntill the price drops.

@kNIGHTWING01 well but the fact that it's better than the psp version doesn't answe wether it's a dumped down port, does it? ;) i mean i have the game for ps3 and would love to own a 3DS version of THAT game, but from what i see from the 3DS version, it is pretty different. not only do you run through the levels alone, the perspective and overall levels have been changed and seem less spectacular. and i bet the ground battles (republic assault etc.) are missing too, right?

The ship battles are much different then the console one. Its like Starfox's all range mode. But sadly the ground RTS missions aren't n this game. It features 13 chapters and is shorter the consoles. But the 3D affect isn't an after thought, like many of other launch games.

I can DEFINITELY sympathize with you about the glitches. In the Lego Star Wars 2 for DS, there were points in the game where the camera wouldn't follow your character, or your character would just disappear.

Ok I bought the system when it first came out, so bugs and issues are normal. Before we updated the 3DS the game worked fine, thats the update that came the 3D Go video. Next time I while working on Ridge Racer 3D, I went into the settings and updated my system again. My Wife played Stars Wars after I recorded the RR footage, she said the freezes were gone. Ive played it recently and haven't come across the game freezing after beating a level. If it freezes its before a level

@kNIGHTWING01 The same happend to me in ghost recon shadow wars. this is how I fixed it: first remove the game, than clean it, than clean the loader, than turn the system off, than remove the sd card, clean it, than clean the loader of the sd card, than wait for like 2-5 minutes, insert the sd card than the game and if it still doesnt work.............than throw the game out the window!:P

Just got the game today. Almost finished it and i havent seen any major glitches or freezes. and the load times were tolerable, 10 seconds and the most. maybe you got a bad batch or something. oh and people that were wondering, this is not a port of the console versions. the handhelds have there own version. the 3ds, psp, and ds are all the same versions.

This game is freezing... then again, I tried every lego star wars before that, and they all have some kind of bugs that freezes the game.

I must be lucky because the game only froze twice on me, and it happened right when i chosed a level.

I think TT is a great company who makes really good games, but they are still lacking in the testing department.

Nonetheless, this is a great game anyway!

When i got my 3ds i got this game and i love it!!! I have encountered only 1 glitch so far and i belive im on the planet with 2 levels. hey i just discovered your channel knightwing and i just relized your reviews are gnerally more forgiving and focus less on the bad points of games then huge gaming news sites like ign. for example, the gamespot review of this game is very unforgiving and focuses only on the bad points, and some of the bad points they mention you dont mention at all. so you are now my main source of wii/3ds reviews.

That freezing and bug issues is kinda why I never buy anything when it just comes out. Like those bugs they have with Splitter Cell and this game, It makes me stay away from getting things at launch. Mostly anything that's a device has a bug or problem when it just comes out.

Has there ever been a cart recall? They would most likely offer a patch first since the system has web access. And with regards to the lack of mid level saves...can't you just close the lid to pause the game and pick up where you left off later? I know it's not ideal but there's usually a work around for just about anything ;D

No it does not, I haven't gotten the Black screen on 3DS at all. The glitch with Star Wars happened 7 times though. Since then i have been able to play up to planet 8 in story mode. I don't know if free play will work or not yet.
