@evatnorth It's Second Life (Google it), it's completely free to play but you usually have to spend some money on in-world items to customise your avatar. It has a very steep learning curve but I think it's worth the effort.

@DandoVor Search for Star Wars under the Second Life search page under Places. Alternatively, come along to the Byss sim (that's its actual name) when someone is around and they should be able to point you to whichever group you're interested in.

It's Homeworld 2 heavily modified by the Warlords mod. ;)

It's a fantastic mod, though very much a sandbox. I had to record a lot more battles like that before I got the footage I wanted.

Via a mic and Windows Sound Recorder if you don't have anything else. I use MorphVOX to alter my voice to suit all the roles in my movies (minus the women, I need voice actors for those).

I used FRAPS to capture the video. It's not free, but it is very cheap with free updates for life. You can use whatever your favourite video editor is to edit and make the movies.

What did you use to make the battle scenes?

Oddly enough, it's simply ye olde Homeworld 2 with a mod called Warlords applied to it. It's a Star Wars mod that lets you create pretty much any battle you want with hundreds of different ships.

Aye, was my first time working with Adobe Premier Pro so was a bit fiddly at times. I tried to make the music quieter but then the voice acting seemed to overwhelm it. So I decided that the subtitles would be enough if the music was drowning out some of the voice acting.

The next one will be more well adjusted as I get more used to Premier Pro. :)
