@ktf2222 What a coincidence. My first car was a '66 Mustang! I was 17 1/2 when I traded my 289ci, automatic and $900 for a 1970 Chevelle SS with a 396 and a Muncie 4 speed. It had a Verti-gate shifter, roller rockers and a roller cam. What a blast had I had with that car. Sounds like our Dad's were kinda the same too. Mine was an accountant who had probably never been over 80 mph in his life. My advice to you these days, is to rent a car to do these types of things and baby that Mustang. Cheers

@I2choose Yea i need to baby my mustang, recently had a carb leak and it caught on fire. Luckily i was at work and had a fire extinguisher and was able to put it out before there was much damage. I had to replace the carb (lol obviously), spark plugs, distributor cap, air filter. So it wasn't much damage but the hood still had burnt marks in the center. I was able to sand out most of the damage to the hood and put Primer on it before it starts to rust, but i still need to get it repainted.
