I don't have money to see a doctor but I still need care every now and then and annually for check-ups to make sure I'm healthy! They are especially excited about the ACO and medical home provision in the bill, as well as extending coverage to millions of Americans. Can the AMA, AHA, ANA, and AAP be wrong? No.
How many practicing physicians do you know? Researchers and Faculty don't really know what goes on in the trenches as many of them have never owned a practice.

Sure, there are some outlier "old-time" practices not affilitated and practice more non-evidence based medicine, but fortunately most physicians are up to date (or want to be) with modern 21st practice. Flexible spending account changes will increase taxes for those who are already spending alot on healthcare and will equal around 68 billion in new taxes for those people. 2% penalty/tax if you decide not to get insurance. Who do you think will be picking up the tab for all the billions of taxes to corporations? It will be the consumers. Too much to list in 500 characters.

There are new taxes on drugs, medical devices, imports, interest, stocks, etc.. all will effect every citizen in higher healthcare prices and lower returns on retirement accounts, higher taxes. Also Medicare has 35 billion in unfunded liabilities over the next ten years w/o the added people from this bill. Medicare cost 10 times it projected 25 year cost. It is unsustainable and will cost us all

I don't have money to see a doctor but I still need care every now and then and annually for check-ups to make sure I'm healthy! A month ago I went to the hospital to get help for my depression and just got a bill in the mail for over $400! How can I afford this when I'm uninsured and struggling as it is? I have a minimum wage job; how can that pay for care? What if it had been higher?

There has not been a government program,not one,that has worked the way that they try to say it will. If the government would just keep their hands off of the private sector we could make it work.. Now our children will be the ones going broke because taxes will be going up no alternative other than raising taxes. That is the only way that government has to get money is to raise taxes. They are especially excited about the ACO and medical home provision in the bill, as well as extending coverage to millions of Americans. Can the AMA, AHA, ANA, and AAP be wrong? No.

Sure, there are some outlier "old-time" practices not affilitated and practice more non-evidence based medicine, but fortunately most physicians are up to date (or want to be) with modern 21st practice. @tmo7759 You are talking about direct taxes. If you make under 250k you will be hit with alot of indirect costs/taxes. Flexible spending account changes will increase taxes for those who are already spending alot on healthcare and will equal around 68 billion in new taxes for those people. 2% penalty/tax if you decide not to get insurance. Who do you think will be picking up the tab for all the billions of taxes to corporations? It will be the consumers. Too much to list in 500 characters.

@moneyjr1122 That tax is just a small part of the 500 billion in new taxes for this monster bill. There are new taxes on drugs, medical devices, imports, interest, stocks, etc.. all will effect every citizen in higher healthcare prices and lower returns on retirement accounts, higher taxes. Also Medicare has 35 billion in unfunded liabilities over the next ten years w/o the added people from this bill. Medicare cost 10 times it projected 25 year cost. It is unsustainable and will cost us all

Already there have been many loop holes found in the bill. It'll cost 10x what they estimated, as usual.

I think I can spend my money better than the FEDS. Give me back my federal taxes and watch me prosper. This is not unreasonable, before 1934 there were no federal income taxes. Look how the country grew to a world power during the pre-progressive era.
