  • Not bad! It'd be even cooler if the seats themselves rotated also, so as to have 3 cirlces going! And yeah, my first though was also "Spirograph" but that's where my mind goes with anything like this. ;)

  • It was an ill idea, I liked the whole concept. But it seemed like it went nowhere, you didn't take the picture out to show in full. Kinda blueballed it. Now I don't even wanna see the full thing.

  • Anything can have artistic value. Make a sculpture with a paper clip. Design a toy car with houshold materials. The possibilities are endless

  • I think you may mean aesthetic value, or maybe stylistic value, or entertainment value, or expressive value. Art is far more complicated. Art is not necessarily stylistic, or beautiful to the senses, and not everything that is a nonverbal or non-utilitarian expression is necessarily art. Art is original truth, but it happens to come in many flavors.

  • I agree, art is contextual. A profound truth in one situation may be a tired cliche in another. Art is definable, though. If you say that something is art, you should be able to explain why, because saying that something is art is saying that it reveals truth for you, about your condition, or your world. Art has a logical definition, it's not a matter of a feeling, like beauty, though many people find it beautiful and enjoyable to experience art.

  • Or neither may be correct, if they're using art as a synonym for beauty or some other word. Like someone in a spa laying back and calmly saying "ahh this is wonderful, I'm completely enraged" not understanding what rage actually is.

    Next thought was, "a couple lasers and a dark room would be good here"

    You should have put the finished product at the end!

    I wanted to see how it came out!

    And from my point of view that looked like a miniature version of the ride. So showing the finished art in size contrast was to me essential.
