  • I just loved you video! I love the greenhouse and row covers. Good luck with the goat and bees. My goats (one Nubian in milk and one Spanish meat goat, along with one 4 month old steer who thinks he is a goat) are let out of the pen each day to roam, I have never had them get on the vehicles. Now..... they do get into the chicken feed can thought. :)

  • Nice work! The music was a great happy touch! :-) Right now, we're just container gardening and we're getting hens next week. I'm not sure how it will all pan out, but we're excited. I'm so glad there are people doing the same and so much more these days. My mom and grandma used to always talk about the Victory Gardens and how much they loved them. It's about time we all get back to the simpler (and fresher) things. It's better for our heart, mind and souls! :-)

  • Great video. We have a half acre backyard where we have laying hens, blueberry bushes, 4 apple trees, 2 peach trees, about 12 4x8 raised beds, one hive of bees, and we raised 2 pigs back there last year. You can do a lot in a small space. Way to go guys!

  • Love the goat at the 3:00 mark :-)

  • love what you are doing... so glad your kids are benifiting from it too

  • LOVE!! What is the song?? My kids are still singing it!!!!

  • Love the video!!! & That song tickles me to pieces :D

  • farmville....hate it...real farming ...love it!!!

  • Lol! This is the last song I'd expect to be made into a homestead jam. Nice work!

  • how sings this song and where did you get it?

  • great song!!!

  • Can anyone tell me where I can download this song at or who sings it ?

  • Thank you for the tip! I had never considered that! We aren't any closer to the goat idea, but it opens up greater possibilities. Being a novice to animal husbandry, the idea of a goat still stretches me a bit. We are managing the bunnies and chickens just fine, not sure about the goat yet. But I love your idea. That takes the pressure off!! Thank you!

  • you can artificially inseminate goats for a lot less than keeping a male goat that doesnt give you anything for a year. that way you and your neighbor can both have females and alternate the breeding.

  • You're right about having to breed the goat. We talked with our neighbor who also has chickens and is kinda doing what we are doing. One of us would have the male, the other the female and we'd eat the "kids". Ha. Not sure I really want to go there....yet.

  • Love the remake song!!! Lisa ") Plus;, with goats, you have to breed and have a baby goat kid to produce milk which equals more goats!!. They are very inquisitive and love to climb. Don't forget vet bills for sick goats!! :)
