The fact is the President should have listened to the people on this issue, but he chose not to. As for the economy you're right, he didn't have enough time to really do anything. That being said, I personally do not believe government spending is the answer. However, time will tell.

My mom and stepdad live in a trailor park on what both of them make. Before my step dad my mom had an abusive boy friend for 4-5 years that would littterally choke slam me, punch me, kick me, and all around beat the living shit out of me. I have raised myself higher in social standing than my parents who lived and still live in debt, I made 150K this last year, I have money to go on expensive vacations and travel when I want, and I can buy nice things and go out to eat.
