Nope. At 47th Street, west of the Dan Ryan is the 9th District; east of the Ryan at 47th (where I shot most of this from) is the 2nd District.)

How come the police didn't close off the 2 lanes, And make the scene safe, so as that you didn't have to risk getting yourself and your vehicle hit. I would probley get a ticket for even touching the vehicle before lanes where closed here in England.

because the troopers werent there yet...

we ( ETP tow operators that operate the tow trucks ) usually get there before the troopers and we drag that stuff off the highway BEFORE anything else happens.

So cops were asking you why you your video taping? reminds me of when I had a cigar (never was lit) at the CTA and a cop came yelling at me to show me my ID and he tried to write me a ticket. I had to spend about 5 minutes to explain that it's not even lit and i don't even smoke. I thought of that movie "Falling down" where Michael Douglas asks ... "I'm the bad guy?" ha ha

About the same as ever, even with the "safety" improvements from the rebuilding. And the causes are still the same: drivers who just don't pay attention. And need I mention the drunks? And the unqualified truckers who bribed the Secretary of State for their CDL's? (One of them caused a horrific haz-mat rollover accident at this curve in August of 2001.)
