How many people would commit to years of training? In Judo we see people come and go within 5 lessons. Judo will never be popular either. We get two nights of coverage every 10 years at three in the morning in the Olympics...LOL

@BroodCast It will never be mainstream is exactly what I am saying. Arts like this are very difficult to master. People want something easier or that they see on t.v. What this guy is doing is awesome but recieves less recognition than TKD sadly. I don't mean that in a negative way at all. I wish I could learn this. I had given most of my time to Judo though.

WOW!! Ive notced that silat is very synonymous with Budo Taijutsu( I do that). budo taijutsu, silat, escrima, kali, brazilian jujutsu, jujutsu, krav maga. great stuff!!!! I just wish more people would give stuff like this a chance instead of cage fighting!!! But of course I guess it depends on ones motive, cage fighting for false ego building or real life skills for real life situations like this. god bless

Nothing is the best! Everything you are able to learn has it's place and time for proper use. Silat is extreamely deadly just as many martial arts are. Train hard and don't ever become closed minded.

this is practice... they do it slowly to make you can learn.. the real thing more faster... the attacker never have a change to follow with 2nd strike.. for xample see bruce lee punch... u need to play that muvee in slow motion then u'll see
Obviously, these defence moves will work if you have speed, but these demonstrations will only work if you can rely on 'The Attacker' not to make a move, or fight back!

systema the punches are as hard as they come,short but hell they work,hes good but it takes years to reach his standards,took me 5 yrs for dan grade jujitsu& and others,all im trying to get accoss jimmy,its got to be easy to learn,spetnaz has 6 mths only ,check it ot when you see him f ighting loads of guys,with no effort,hes bloody good to train with............you be amazed if you did a class

This guy is the best that I have seen online. The technology he is using, the information is excellent. When you watch someone drill they give you a series of possible responses. You can only respond according to the fluid situation and your own abilities. He functions at such a high level his mastery is apparent. You must walk before you run. if you dont start learning correct information you wont get but so good. T

this is practice... they do it slowly to make you can learn.. the real thing more faster... the attacker never have a change to follow with 2nd strike.. for xample see bruce lee punch... u need to play that muvee in slow motion then u'll see

Maul, you should ONLY do your demos on Mannequins from now on. That way if you break anything no one will get upset. :-)
Also you should try to do more Realistic videos, maybe you can get Pamela Anderson to be the attacker next time?

Obviously, these defence moves will work if you have speed, but these demonstrations will only work if you can rely on 'The Attacker' not to make a move, or fight back!

actually i think his moves are a mix of filipino fighting arts and silat....once u know the basic there is no more silat,kali,and other martial arts there is only movement....forward .backward...forhand ..backhand...dont think of his technique

systema the punches are as hard as they come,short but hell they work,hes good but it takes years to reach his standards,took me 5 yrs for dan grade jujitsu& and others,all im trying to get accoss jimmy,its got to be easy to learn,spetnaz has 6 mths only ,check it ot when you see him f ighting loads of guys,with no effort,hes bloody good to train with............you be amazed if you did a class

This guy is the best that I have seen online. The technology he is using, the information is excellent. When you watch someone drill they give you a series of possible responses. You can only respond according to the fluid situation and your own abilities. He functions at such a high level his mastery is apparent. You must walk before you run. if you dont start learning correct information you wont get but so good. T
